I had trouble with that block too attached from inside point sewing one direction then turned and sewed the other direction thats why mine looks different.
Quilting My Rainbow
Nana thank you for the great pattern . I'm glad i'm not alone on tough time of getting that block in. Thats where my version changed a bit . I had shreds of material on the border tails and couldn't deal with them after repeated rip outs.
Jean: moonmist, I really like your florals.

Ms MoomMist: Well, I got mine together this morning.

Love all those flowers, MMM! I think you should ask your local garden club if they'd like to use it for a fundraising raffle. I'll bet it would bring in some bucks!
Finished the MQ7 top. I accidentally cut a chunk (really, a chunk!) out of the top and had to cover it up with a flower. Then it was off balance so I added a flower to the other end. This entire project was an exercise in boo boo's. George likes it so that makes it a success but it's probably the poorest job I've ever done. Sloppy seams, wacky blocks but I like it. It's imperfect and needs love more than most. In fact, I think I'll name it "In Need of Love". I deliberately made the flower appliques with ragged edges. I thought it wouldn't be appropriate try to add something perfect to an imperfect quilt.
In the beautiful Pacific Northwest!
Ooooh, Ms Moonmist, I absolutely love your flower garden!
I love it Judy, sometimes our mistakes turn into something special and this sure did!
Life is like a quilt...bits & pieces, joy & sorrow, stitched with love
BTW Judy, how did you cut the chunk? Care to share? :)

i had it folded on the side of my cutting table. I thought it was out of the way. I laid out the green to cut a slice and caught a piece of the top. Cut a half inch chunk. Dumb thing to do.
