Karyn,
I'm working on my borders as well. I am behind on Bonnie's mystery already, but will keep plugging away. I totally understand with the little ones. I have three under five. My oldest is in Kindergarten three days a week, so I do get a bit more sewing in on those days, lol. I really enjoy quilting and claim that it keeps me sane. I have all boys and my youngest is 17 months and a bit like a tornado. ;) I love seeing everyone's quilts because they inspire me to continue with the effort to make the time to quilt. Keep on sewing...

Well, Ajax seems to think I'm done! It broke my heart to have to make him move. He didn't want to leave and I had to pick him up.
that is just so cute. So is your quilt!
Everyone has such wonder quilts and fabric.
Carolyn,
That is a great picture. Clearly you have a comfy quilt! Both Ajax and the quilt are really cute. I like the greys and pinks in your quilt!

Very pretty I like it. Sometimes your simple designs turn out stunning as in the one block spectacular quilts even.
Very pretty MQ 7 Carolyn, love the colors.

Here are my completed MQ 7 and a "orphan" quilt made from the left over blocks when I decided to just use 30 rather than 42. A two-fer! I practiced some free-motion quilting on the orphan block quilt--took me 6 blocks before I got the hang of doing loop-de-loops! My friend Janet and I shared the quilting on MQ7--we are giving it to a nursing colleague at work who has lots of grandchildren. I added some tiny star buttons to make it more fun.
Judy very pretty quilts good job.
Aw Carolyn, Ajax is just precious, and as I stated before I love the colors of this piece.. They came together with great contrast, and the border is lovely, just what was needed to make the center shine. I want to say a word to those who are waiting to finish, my self included, you gals have such encouraging words, & we are getting inspiration from all the finished borders. I thank you all. My 'keys' are coming along, tomorrow I will return to Mother's with new found ideas. I've decided to border the keys using the Kona eggshell, a slight creamy yellow, since the white, and natural are just too bright. I say play with a few shades to make the contrast. Blending the final color is important. I love what everyone is doing and do hope to have my top finished Monday. Right now the top sits even on my queen bed, so my new conundrum is how wide to make the border around the keys. WOW Judy what a great fabric combo, and love the fact you got a 2 fer.
Judy, very nice MQ7 x 2, your loop-de-loops looks better than mine did on my grand-puppies quilt.
Carolyn Still love the pinks and grays, looks like Ajax does too.
Judy, I really like how you did that thin stripe in the last border in the first quilt. Took a close up look to see how you did that. Sweet that you got a 2 for 1.
Finished my MQ7 quilt top! Hope the photo loads.
HI Carolyn, Your quilt and dog are soo cute. Love them both. I really like your colors.
