Thank you all for the nice comments on my "book quilt". Once I get everything wrapped and mailed to Missouri, I will get back to my MQ7 and figure out how I am gonna finish it.
Is this a braid tutorial, if so I would like to see it.

Is this a braid tutorial, if so I would like to see it. I can help you Donna, there are a few tutorials on the friendship braid , it is such an easy piecing you hardly believe it can make such a beautiful border. The first one I did, was just to make a panel piece then to border around, it was three strips of braid framed them bordered. so sweet and easy to learn. I can't remember right off hand where the booklet is that came with the instruction printed, but believe me there is something on you tube about the 'friendship braid' quilt block. if you just google the name it will bring up a bunch of possibilities. see ya over there.. lol
HI Spudgrandma, I wanted to thank you for posting this for me. I got it real small. then I couldn't see it. Do you have to resize it somehow? I just don't understand how to do it. But I'll try again. I finished my quilt. Even my DS said the back of my quilt looked nice.
I don't know why but I've been having a hard time with adding the single sqaure block on borders. Also posting question on quilting for this.
Quilting My Rainbow
Hi Donna,
Mary Fons has a braid quilt method tutorial on Quilty, episode 122.
Donna:braid tutorial
It's really easy, just a method of stitch and flip.

weezee56:Do you have to resize it somehow?
weezee, if you are using windows just right click on the picture you want to upload and you should get a menu, select - Resize picture - then you should get several size choices - I select the large the click on OK and it will automatically save it to your computer with the same name only large will be added to the end. Then follow the directions for posting a picture and be sure you select the one you just resized and you should be good to go.
Life is like a quilt...bits & pieces, joy & sorrow, stitched with love
Judy:Here is my finished top.
Well done Judy. Nice work on the border.
Judy and Carly Anne love your quilts. I will really have to try that friendship braid border next.
I'm avidly following everyones posts....seems my computer is SUPER slow on this site, so I don't post as much as I read. I know I shouldn't name any names because I will forget a ton of what I saw....but I wanted to jump in and say WOW!
Frances, I love your soft colors!
LOVE the braid border & the leaf applique
There are a few Christmas ones that are stunning! (I lost my cheat sheet of notes on who made what.....)
I'm doing the math on my border (OMG, any math wizzes, feel free to jump in and help me out!)
I'm hoping to have it done in the next few days. Finding time to sew can be challenging with 2 little ones under 2.... but I'm doing it! I'm also working on the Bonnie mystery, so I'll see some of you on that board as well :)
