The "BOOK" quilt that I made for my 1 year old granddaughter is now finished. I call it a book quilt because I took two panels that are supposed to be used to make soft books and made a quilt out of them. This is the last of Christmas sewing......
Wow, we sure are getting some nice quilts!

Jean:Here's mine so far. I will probably add another border or 2.
Jean,
I really like your MQ7. Pretty fabrics and nice piano key border.
Marsha , what a great thing you are doing . ((((((Hugs ))))))) to you for it . Barbara
EAT!! SLEEP !! QUILT!!
Weeze, the kitty is pretty too. I have a grandkitty that thinks if it has quilt batting it is hers. I am soooo glad that Quilts for Kids requires them to be washed before sending. I can snatch it from under her, rush it to the washer and dryer and get the box ready while she is napping.
Marsha,
Glad to hear your project is still moving right along. My MQ 6 had is blue and white. I see some similar colors. Still trying to get the girls to show me how to upload the pics to the computer, but DH says he now knows how. So maybe if I get the camera charged, he will take the pics off for me and I can show you how it has worked out. As well as MQ7

Cute quilt Donna, I bet you are happy to have your Christmas quilting done!
Life is like a quilt...bits & pieces, joy & sorrow, stitched with love
Here is my finished top. I went for the scrapy border too. I wanted to use up as many scraps as I could. I'll use a black binding to bring it all together. Going to back it with some red flannel that I got at a good sale last week. It will become just a cozy throw around the family room for the holiday season.
Judy, that is so cute.
Really cute job for a Christmas throw. Glad I don't have it ,I think my 3 y/o GGS would be trying to eat the candy off of it. LOL Ginn
Judy, really like how you ended it with the scrappy border. Still working on my border. I cut my 2.5" x 9.5" strips into 2.5 x 4" and 2.5 x 5.5" pieces and sewing them together end to end - using the 4.5" on the top and bottom (short side) and the 5" on the sides. Now, if I could just get the time and energy to sit down and do it! but I'm anxious to finish now that I'm seeing everyone's.

I just took all of my miscuts and scraps and put them on my Go strip cutters and made 1.5, 2 and 2.5 in strips and sewed them together lengthwise. Then I put them cross wise on the 2.5 in. cutter and sewed those end to end.
All of these quilts are looking great. I really like to see how everyone puts their own spin on them.
Great quilt Judy Kay. I like your border!
