ls2116, both your quilts are very pretty, don't know which one I like better.  I love your choice of colors.

KRIS - the first one is how I did mine so partial to it.  but I like the 4 box matchup on the 3rd one as well.

I have had to pull away from this MQ for a while, since other projects are beckoning me that have deadlines, but I must say that after seeing the reveal, I am once again enticed! I do like very much the final outcome of this quilt. Way to go, Nana...hope you are feeling better soon. Thanks for putting up with all of us, these past few weeks!

I promise that when I get this finished (hopefully before the end of this month, we'll see...), I will post in media! Great job everyone...it's truly incredible to see the works of art we all can make from just a few pieces of fabric, isn't it? :)

Patti - I was thinking the same think about piano key border but thought I would cut mine in thirds - 3 inches - after I sew them together.

I still have mine on the design wall, I really like the layout where the squares were squared up and cut.  I also like how I have the easter lily in the middle of mine, so I am gonna leave it up their probable till I get all the christmas gifts bought, wrapped and mailed.  Here is is again.

well, now that I'm seen step 4 I know which way I'm going, just need to go get more material - want to find a green that's close to grass and leaves.  since I have all flowered material, might as well have the green leaves.

I ended up with 2 smaller tops. I really love this layout as there are different aspects that "rise to the surface" as you look at it (sometimes you see big pinwheels, sometimes you see diamonds, and sometimes you catch a smaller pinwheel). I may have to make another with this design planned so the pinwheels really pop!

I'm thinking perhaps a black 2" border, and then piano key with pinwheels in corners and then another layer of black.

These pictures look really washed out on my screen..... the colors are much more vibrant (maybe I'll try another shot in the daylight).

Everyones quilts are looking so pretty.  I am really sorry that there was a glitch but it looks like everyone has done a marvelous job.   My first vision of a border when I saw the quilt was to do the 3 borders shown and then add a wide border with applique on it.   Guess I have been around Gini too much.   Now I see applique places on every quilt I make....LOL>

Marie:

Kris, now that the final step is revealed, I think these would look nice with decorative outer boarder or not.  I like your top layout best but I would lay out the 4 black and white blocks the same way as the others if you can.  Just MHO.

Thanks Marie. Haven't seen the reveal yet. I'm not sure the B&W will give the same pattern because of how they're sewn but I'll give it a try.

I hope the borders inspire me to finish this top.
