Everyone's quilts are amazing! I love the different colors and how such collections of different fabrics blended to make cohesive quilts. The purples, the blues, the autumn colors and the red, white and blue quilts were all WOW quilts, as were a lot of the quilts that I saw. I didn't see any I didn't like! Anyone volunteering to come finish mine? 8-}

It's Quilting! You're supposed to be having fun!
I love how mine is turning out, I for one think it is one of the prettiest quilts I have made, I used 10 different fabrics, so far mine is 6 by 8, But I think I am going to plan a different border.

Finally The site is fixed. Well this MQ is definitely not my favorite. This design is not my "cup of tea" so I changed it. Here is a picture of my design:
I'm still working on the last row. The panel will be 45 " square. I will add borders.

Zsofia, I'd never imagined taking this quilt in that direction, but WOW! It is so interesting. Is it just a corner to corner cut or is there some other thing in it? Did you square the blocks to 8-1/2" first?
It is a fantastic quilt, from a simple pattern! Great work!
Zsofia, this is a really pretty quilt, I like the on-point layout.
Gini, your fairy center is priceless.
Ladies, your quilts are all lovely. I haven't seen one yet that I didn't like.
In the beautiful Pacific Northwest!
MizPat - yes I just squared up the blocks to 8 1/2" making sure always cut from the smaller unit then I made a cut across the square (basically cutting the biggest unit in half). Then I put the "half triangle" units together to form a "framed in pinwheel". I ended up with 3pinwheel units per row. But as Judy mentioned it it could be an onpoint design.
very cool zsofia

Thank you Marie! I am not really caring too much for the pattern, but I'm gonna keep going with it. I'm sure it will grow on me by the time it's finished!
I got mine all sewn together and have them on the design wall, I did not want to get the same colors all bunched up. I really like the pattern and I love all the quilts. I've never done a MQ before and I have really been enjoying this. Thanks Nana!
Life is like a quilt...bits & pieces, joy & sorrow, stitched with love
Nana:They are 8 1/2 x 9. I think I did mention this in the "construction" thread in group.
I never even thought to go there - where is my mind? I have done quilts before with rectangular blocks, so this isn't a problem for me. I have just read this thread and forgot about the group!!! I got my blocks all done and ironed, but need to lay them out and take a picture. I am liking the blues! Needs a little white to tone it down, but don't think sashing will work for me. Some fabrics are nearly white and help break up the sea of blue! Won't get time tomorrow, but will try to get a picture. Have been working on 3 other mysteries along with this one - got my 4patches almost done for Bonnie Hunter's Easy Street today. I am going over to group now and see what I missed!
