Donna, I like it. Maybe black sashing strips would break up the purples.

I love your red white and blue top, very nice.
Judy another very happy quilt, love it.
Dadar, congratulations to your granddaughter, very pretty quilt she turned out. I really like yours, the blues seem to get me every time, good job.
Here's a really bad picture of my step three. It looks so much better in person, even though I was so excited to post it, I didn't smooth out the wrinkles first! Mine is 6x8 (had to have my hubby hold it up) and it will make a nice gift for my parents for Christmas. I've been quilting for 6 years and I haven't made them one yet!! Can't wait for the next step. Everyone's is looking so nice. :)

Jen. I absolutely love your chocolate quilt. All that is needed is a cuppa cocoa and a gingerbread cookie.
In the beautiful Pacific Northwest!
Jen, very pretty, I love the color combo, good job!
I don't know if i'm going to stay up all night and sew. Because I have to return one Flat panel Tv.
Quilting My Rainbow
everyone's quilts are turning our very nice. this is a great easy pattern. this step was just what i needed to finish the fairy quilt, so i went ahead and stuck the fairy in the middle and added the borders. i will add one more large purple border to the outside and hopefully get it basted this week. thanks nana, this was perfect.

Absolutely everyone's quilt tops are coming together so nicely. I am still dragging my feet on Step 3, as I have a baby quilt to finish on a deadline, but will definitely start sewing for this one again, towards the end of this week. I'm a little hesitant with all the wild colors going on - I'm thinking I may need some black sashing to help define it. I'll post pics of both ways laid out and ask advice of everyone, once I have a few blocks sewn together.
Yes, I found that out the hard way and had to 'unsew' 12 blocks! Wish the instructions had mentioned that. lol
When life throws you scraps, make a quilt.
My step 3 just finished tonight...now I can go to bed! :o)

I just got home and have not even downloaded the directions - what did the directions not mention?
Life is like a quilt...bits & pieces, joy & sorrow, stitched with love
