MizPat:The problems with the kits is why I use my own choice of fabrics. If I come up short, it's easily remedied.
Exactly MizPat, I have only done a couple of kits and ended up buying more fabric for each of them.
Life is like a quilt...bits & pieces, joy & sorrow, stitched with love
Donna:Here is the pic of my cut squares.
Very pretty. I love the way the black eyed Susans pop out of some of the pieces. The yellow is so happy with the purple.
Jan, welcome to the MQ7. Thought I would let you know that I'm also from the Rochester , NY area- Webster to be exact. This is the first time that I've found some-one from my area in a MQ!!
I'm located in Rochester, area. This is also my 1st MQ with this site. I'm looking forward to it. Wanted to post my choices to get some feed-back on them before I move to step 2 .
I think they look good Marsha! I think I said Hi over in the group, but just in case... Hi and nice to meet you.
I resisted the urge to control and just went random and scrappy!
Here are my stacks all ready for Step 3:
I'm ready for step 3, too! There should be enough here for a 6x7.
On the banks of the Mississippi River in north central Minnesota (Brainerd lakes area)
Thanks Candy. I must have dialed wrong because it went through to a voice mail now.

Looking good Nancy!
Spudgrandma:just went random and scrappy!
Love it, love it, love it. Nana is gonna be so proud of you Spud. BTW I've got some of your fabrics is my stash too.
MNnancy:I'm ready for step 3, too!
Congrats Nancy! I really like how cheerful it looks. It surely will brighten up a dull and cloudy winter day. It's going to be a beauty!
Well, Here are my fabric choices. They seem kinda dark, now. I REALLY wanted to do a Christmas themed quilt, but I couldn't find 20 different Christmas fabrics that I liked. Oh well, I've got some Grinch fabric in there & that's what I truly wanted to use, so we'll see how it works up. Time to break out the design wall!
Oh, I'm jealous of all of you who have already sewed and cut. I did get my pieces stacked together to sew tomorrow. GD and I took naps today. She doesn't sleep through the night and I'm not as young as I use to be!! Looking forward to seeing these quilts finished. There are so many beautiful selections of fabric.
Oooh Marsha! I love the fabrics! I'm getting ready to do a braid table runner in rich blues, I bought a gazillion of them and now I wish I had yours too!
Hi Bev, good to meet you - probably already said that somewhere :) I think your fabrics will work, but Nana will know.
