Hi allgirlsmom and nice to meet you.
Life is like a quilt...bits & pieces, joy & sorrow, stitched with love
Mimi, your fabric is looking beautiful...
Jean, have fun with your granddaughter. Grandbabies are the very best.
Thank you Spud. I really am glad that you are back on the site. I missed your truly encouraging comments. Thanks again.
Debbie-do:
Your fabrics are so bright and cheery, Debbie! I noticed the adjoining pieces all have good contrast. Totally random?

Looking good, Mimi! You must be making the 6x7 version of the quilt.
I'm done sewing the first seams, but I haven't sliced those pieces apart yet.

You are amazing!! I never would have been able to tell that by looking at the pieces. Thanks for your kind words. And I hope your are feeling better and that your medical procedures are all behind you.
Mimi, your fabrics are beautiful. Very rich colors!

I'm feeling pretty good. The big bandages came off today. The stitches come out on Tuesday. It's just going to take lots of healing time now. I made myself a pink fabric patch to wear when I'll be out in public - at least until the scars fade a bit. :-)

Very pretty so far.

LOL - I know what you mean Leslie.
I only use my alarm when I have to be someplace early. Otherwise my two dogs, who sleep with me (my hubby works nights), make sure I'm up to let them out and fed usually by 7 am, if not earlier. I had trouble for the first wk or two after daylight saving time rolled back an hour - they were still on regular time and were getting me up at 5 am!

Susie: (I have a porch swing in my living room. My little deck isn't large enough for it, and I so didn't want to get rid of it, so I put it in my living room.)

Love this idea!
Debbie-do and Mimi - I love both of your fabric selections.
Everyone's fabric is awesome! I'll be honest. I went through all my fabric and chose some that had been here for , we'll, some time! Seems the o ly time I do this is when I have no idea what the quilt will look like! Lol. Love the mystery!
