Wish I had mine cut out Wendy, I just cannot get up the ambition to go and do it.
Life is like a quilt...bits & pieces, joy & sorrow, stitched with love
Here are my fabric choices...
Loved fabrics Spud.
In the beautiful Pacific Northwest!
here are my two choices
I must say that everyone's choice of fabrics is wonderful, I think I need to look further into my stash.
Millbury, MA
Wendy, Both sets are lovely but i really really like the top, brighter fabrics.
Thank you Judy!
Judy T-Bellingham: Wendy, Both sets are lovely but i really really like the top, brighter fabrics.
that is my favorite too Judy, I have enough left over that I am going to make a runner for the top of the piano. I bought this collection from "The Fat Quarter Shop. It is called O' Tencel town. It is a Robert Kaufman from 2 years ago.
The lower choice, I pulled from my stash. Both will be gifts. We have several homeless kids at our school, and I want to make a lap quilt for all of them. Thought I would start with two and go from there. I am hoping to have made each of them one by the end of the school year.
Wendy, I like the top one also. I posted this a bit ago, but it is not showing up - not sure why. But, the top one is so bright and colorful, love it.
I just bought an Olfa rotary cutter. I noticed it says I should only use an Olfa cutting mat. I already have two fiskars mat and an X-acto cutting mat. Have any of you had experience with this? What do you think?
JAP, I have several Olfa rotary cutters and my mat is not Olfa, have had the mat and the cutters for years. The only reason I can think of they would say that is to get you to buy their mat. I would stick with what you have if it were me.
top set is my favorite since I love brights.
Good luck!
lovely collection on fabric!
Spud, your fabrics are great. I like the subdued color palette here, actually. Don't get me wrong, brights are GREAT, but I am, by nature, an earth-tone girl and this does it for me!
Now quit stalling and start cutting, lady! :)
