MNnancy:Those are pretty fabrics, Marie. I like your color combination!
Thanks Nancy. I tried finding blues in my stash that would go,came up with two a flower and a stripe but liked this version better. I have a week so maybe I'll cut those two and put it into the mix and post for comments.
Rats, I didn't notice we were skipping a week.
Welcome! Post pics when you have your assortment ready. We really like seeing what others are doing.
I took the fabrics I had chosen for an appliqued pattern I bought, but realized I'd never make. The dark red (2 yd) and the beige (3 yd) are the only non-FQs in the batch.

It's Quilting! You're supposed to be having fun!
Pre washing fabric. I always wash mine, then usually use some light starch when I iron to get some body back. I decided this year to give it a try not to prewash my craftsy BOM, will let you know if I am happy or not.
I have always heard to be careful if mixing fabric, such as, using flanel on back side because it shrinks different than regular cotton.
My two cents anyway, back to playing with new machine

Hi Debbie, it is nice to meet you!
Life is like a quilt...bits & pieces, joy & sorrow, stitched with love
I am new to QCA and i apologize if this has been addressed already, but I'm curious, what is the level of difficulty for MQ7? I am also new to quilting and I just wanted to see before I jump in. Thanks!
hello again, paula, a beginner should be able to do this quilt easily. you can see that you can get lots of help on colors if you want it. and we'll steer you in the irght direction on cutting. nana is a great leader, but she is gone for the day. you have to put up with the rest of us answering your questions today.

Paula, the level of difficulty should not be a problem, so far it looks really simple and straightforward. Jump on in and join us.
that was weird, instead of putting in my second post, i got a "post pending moderation" notice and they put my first post in twice.
i was trying to welcome you to our group debbie, hello to you
