I hope I'm doing everything alright. I'm new to all this(MQ) and posting things. I like to say Hi to you too. I have read many of your posts. Have you been quilting long?
Spudgrandma: Nana: I used 30 blocks to make my quilt top. That is 5 blocks x 6 rows. This makes approximately a 56 x 60 quilt. Ok Nana, here is where you start holding my hand...is the 56 x 60 measurement with or without the border?

Spud,
Its no good Nana holding your hand you will need both hands for the ruler and the rotary cutter otherwise its never going to be straight.
lots of love

Hope you're feeling better soon Wendy.

Maybe that is my problem cutting straight, maybe I need 3 hands...
Life is like a quilt...bits & pieces, joy & sorrow, stitched with love
After much thought, I've decided to go with a Christmas theme, my first quilt (stays on my bed year round) was from Christmas fabric in 1992,ready to get a second one just for our home. Here are the fabrics I've chosen to use, they came to me by way of my sister's MIL right before she passed 3 years ago. Mrs.O was a seamstress and hand quilter as well as every yarn and thread craft, she was well versed and learned, I have been blessed by what she gave me in knowledge and her stashes. I'm going to call this quilt Mrs O's Mystery. I have 35 FQ's, that were tied with Christmas ribbon, from many designers some I've not heard of, Mrs.O stopped sewing at least 14 years ago, and had given me many pieces of fabrics over the years. I am thrilled to be using these pieces for this Mystery.
I'm getting used to navigating this website so if you have seen these already I apologize for the repeat. Here are my fabric choices, pink and green is my favorite combo. Sometimes when I "play" in an online mystery I wait a few steps to committ but I've jumped right on in on this one.
Love your Christmas fabric Caryl Anne. And you will think of Mrs O every time you look at your quilt.
Hi Marie and nice to meet you. I really like your fabric choice.
