Anything will work with this quilt. One of your collections would be perfect.
Patti
No longer strips. You will just have less variation when using 10 fabrics but you can get the amount you need with about 6 inches of each fabric.

I just recommend having a good mix of lights, mediums, and darks. I used some of the In the Beginning FQ's that we got in Leavenworth. The print scale really isn't a big deal one way or the other.
These fabrics will work beautifully. You have lights, mediums. and darks. I also love the colors you have chosen.
Spudgrandma: Nana:For those that would like to start looking thru your stash you need to find 15 to 20 fat quarters that coordinate well. So if you had 20 FQ but only 10 different colors (2 of each color) would that work for this quilt? If so, I think I'm good...

Nana, I am assuming from what you said to others that I do not have to have 20 different colored FQ's, I just need 20 FQ's.

You will be fine with 20 FQs with some of them being the same. It would be the same as using 10 different fabrics from your stash. You will be cutting 2 strips from the FQs or one long strip from regular yardage.
Thanks Nana! I just need to order some fabric for the backing and binding.

Patti:Here's my fabrics. I am not sure about all of them. You can hardly make out the dark purple on the right.
Patti - I think your fabrics are wonderful! I wouldn't change a single one. Do you hsve a good amount of yardage of the 5th from the right> If you wanted to add borders, it would be terrific.

Yes, I have yards of it. Like it just as much now as when I got it a 2-3 years ago, and have had it set aside waiting for something to do with it. Even using this for borders will leave enough for another quilt.

I fibbed to you. You need about 12 inches of each fabric if you use 10 fabrics. Looks like you have plenty of fabric to work with in your choices.
Finally Finished my other MQ6. So I'm ready for MQ7.

So does this mean that quarter yards won't work? Recently I purchased several different quarter yard bundles from Keepsake and each grouping was a coordinated set of material. There was 12 - 9" x WOF pieces in each set. Was hoping to use one of those bundles.
