Maggie: Kris, you have to let us know when your bundle arrives. It was fun to watch you at the Buggy Barn, especially when you were laying on the floor and the poor shopowners didn't know what to think.

Ok Maggie, inquiring minds want to know why Kris was laying on the floor. LOL
The entire ceiling at buggy barn is covered with quilts, she was taking pictures.
We were stuck in Seattle for four hours in the alaska fiasco. Finally made it to NYC, very late, but we had time to walk to times square, catch a small dinner and now we are home in bed. There are blow up mattresses and a couch, we are set for beds. We are on the 37th floor condo looking right at the Hudson river, cousin did good.
Museum tomorrow, book signing tomorrow night, and who knows what else, it's an adventure for sure.

Marie: All this talk about soup, I had to make my favorite chicken soup recipe, boring, until Jacy posts her Tortilla soup recipe.

here's the recipe and it is SO simple and quick but always turns out great. CHICKEN TACO SOUP 1 can diced tomatoes 1 can diced tomatoes with green chilies 2 cans chicken broth 1 can refried beans 1/2 cup corn (I use a whole can, drained. You can use frozen too) 1 can black beans, drained (optional) 2 cups shredded cooked chicken Add all but the chicken to pot and simmer 5 mins, add chicken, heat through and serve. You can also put in the crock pot and heat on high 2-3 hrs. We like to serve it over crushed tortilla chips and sprinkle shredded cheese on top.

Jacy, thank you thank you thank you for the Chicken Taco Soup recipe. Sounds delicious and a great one for the New England winters. We're having a cool spell so will make it as soon as I get to the market tomorrow.

Hope y'all have a great time in NYC. we will wait patienly for pictures ..Barbara
EAT!! SLEEP !! QUILT!!
Jacy, I will make this. we love homemade soup in the winter. I think it would be great served with taco salad: tomotes, shredded lettace, garbanzo beans, onion, green peppers and avacado.. When I make taco salad, I add ground beef with dry taco seasining cooked in to it. Then serve heated flour tortilla with it. But with the soup the ground beef is not necessary.
