Vote for my favorite? Impossible task because they're all so wonderful. So good to see everyone having so much fun.
Hey Carol, good to hear from you. Just like I don't get to see MN Deb until we get together at this retreat, I don't hear from you much until you find our retreat discussion threads! This could be easily corrected, you know!
I'm on my fourth fidget quilt. Some of the gals are donating interesting texture elements, and I ordered a charm pack of minky fabrics from the Missouri Quilt Company's "Deal of the Day" for 2 cents!!! Those will be fun to use in these quilts. I don't think you qualify for a fidget quilt yet. LOL
I think Randy is getting a little bored this time around. I spent the evening with him last night to make up for leaving him on his own all week. Good thing Kris is such a good reporter so I can catch up on what I've missed here in the sewing room all evening.
My brother sent me a text with reports of heavy snow in Minnesota. I hope it missed us. Neighbor Terri tells me all the leaves are off the trees already. My next retreat is in Long Prairie, MN, in early November. Are you free then? Call me on my cell if you're interested. We're also discussing a QCA Oregon coast retreat for next April. Well, back to sewing...
On the banks of the Mississippi River in north central Minnesota (Brainerd lakes area)
If we can only pick one, then I go with #7. Love the black and white, and I've heard black and white are the first colors babies can see...I personally can't remember as it was too long ago.
I vote that Kris should get to take the Featherweight home with her for her wonderful reporting of the retreat events...and I suspect the non-reporting of other events.
Enjoying seeing all the beautiful work everyone is doing!
Forget it, Kris. I can't pick just one. That's like having a whole bag of M&M's and just eating a green one... It's just NOT gonna happen in my lifetime!
As for the Mystery Mess... Are you sure i'm not there? Add a few snippets of orange to that pile of confetti on the floor and I'd take credit for it. LOL
Quilters are people who strip so they won't go topless.
Ladies there's another entry to the baby quilts.
Thanks for your votes.
Does the mess belong to Gini (no offense Gini its just you must cut away lots of little bits and i couldnt see any big bits)
Favourite quilt, they are all wonderful but i really like no.1.
lots of love
Frances you're correct. It's Gini. She was getting it ready for Judy T:
Take a look at her shirt:
Judy dropped in on us this morning:
Just in time for group photo:
Judy brought her award winning Harry Potter quilt to share with us:
Nancy finished her first appliqué piece under Gini's tutelage:
Maggie is making progress on her Celtic appliqué:
Elizabeth finished her quilt top:
We had a massage therapist come in to give us a class on some relaxation and stretching techniques:
Gini, your shirt is the sign of a happy quilter.
Judy, so jealous you could drop in on the girls.
Frances, I don't think it's Gini's mess, she's wearing all hers. : )
Great group picture! Glad you're in it Kris.
Judy, Harry potter quilt is so beautiful and sooo big, what is it's size?
Nancy, good job on your applique.
Maggie, your Celtic is great.
Elizabeth, lovely quilt.
You gals are making some beautiful memories.
Elizabeth as the first row quilt top completed:
Marge's Celtic appliqué is also complete:
and here's Maggie's:
Shirts around the quilt room:
WOW beautiful row quilt, Elizabeth!
Marge and Maggie, your Celtic appliques came out great. Good teacher you had.
Love the T's.
I took a break from sewing to color a shirt I found for Randy. Do you see my cat Pickles and dog Calley?
So cute t-shirts, guys.
MN Nancy, where ever did you find a t-shirt that you could color?
