Kris - is this the quilt you are doing - I didn't do mine in redwork though - I couldn't do the snowmen's noses RED so I decided to do all colors for everything.

Marge (AKA Dimples):

Goodness - y'all are a whole lot neater than we were in VA Beach!  Looks like Lisa has big plans for the week.  She seems to have the most fabric or are the rest of you hiding it under the beds?

I missed this one. Lisa's fabric are for the NICU quilts. She brought them for us to use.

Kris,

You are doing a great job dont forget to get in some sewing as well.

Nana seems to be keeping out of the pictures well, does that mean shes causing trouble and mayhem somewhere else.

Spud great to see you got there safe and sound.

As for all the quilts just one word to say WOW.

Have a great time.

lots of love

Frances,

I'm working on my embroidery. I usually only do hand sewing (one project) on these retreats.

Marie:

Looks like kite shapes in Gini's space.  What is she working on?

Is Nana working on "Stepping Stones"?  Looks like she's well organized.

Gini,

is working on her off centre pinwheels from the fall fabric swap. Nancy had paper under her presser foot. She's using that for her appliqué.

Marie:
What a cute little machine Elizabeth has, is it a Singer?

She using Gini's featherweight.

Great photos, Kris!  Glad you finally got one of you!  Learned something I didn't know about you -- you're lefthanded!?!  You could comfortably sit next  to me at the hand quilting frame and do the lines I can't do with my right hand!  Cool!

Yep Thea,

I have had two kits of this quilt for about 8 to 10 years, one blue one red. I'm making this one for a friend who expressed interest in the red one. I'm contemplating colours for the embroidery but I'll keep the blocks one colour.

It's taken me this long to do it because I really detest tracing.

Carol,

I'm not left handed but there are certain things I do better with my left hand.

Kris, so accurate.  Nana does like to make tents.

Nana, beautiful.  Love the way you put the colors together.  Did you do all of this while at Leavenworth or did you have it started before you left home?

You ladies are having a very productive retreat.

Kris, thanks for keeping us all up to date with what is happening on the West coast.  Makes it a little easier to not be with you.

Enjoy your time together.
