Hello QCA friends!
I am making a throw for a friend of mine who is a little over 6' tall. I'm terrible with figuring what sizes work best for things, so wanted to ask your opinions, please - what finished dimensions do you think would be appropriate for a man of that height?
Ben
I would make it at least 60 x 80. You might want to go a little wider but I would definitely go at 80 for the length so that he can cover up completely if he desires,

Ben, I agree with Nana. My husband is 6' 6" and I plan 80 - 84 inches in length for anything I make for him to cover up with.
Width would depend on whether you are planning this throw for on couch or in a recliner. If I make a throw for someone to use in a recliner, I tend to make it slightly narrower so that it doesmt get tamgled up im tje sides of the chair. This is my personal preference but I have not had complaints. Usually make recliner throws 48-54 inches wide.
Good luck with your project. Hope you post pictures of the finished product. I know that your friend will love whatever you make.

Thank you both so much! I knew I'd get some good advice here :)
I found out that for an adult at least 56 inches by 56 inches is a good measuirement. Children can be a lot smaller like 48 by 48.
So glad I found this topic - I had the same question!! Thanks for all the info!!
