These are a few of the quilts that were in the "Keeping it Covered" quilt show.
The antiques were spread all over the hall, but this is a great display.
Christmas in Canada, apparently it came early
Quilt was made from the dress jackets of our former realtor. We dealt with him for years and on his retirement, they made a quilt out of his suit jackets. The fact that he will never fit them again had nothing to do with the project.
Check out the awards. Quilted and appliqued/embroidered. How appropriate.
More tomorrow, I'm tired and its time for my wine.
Have a glass for me. Beautiful pictures
Vivian, I love these quilts. Looking forward to more photos tomorrow. Enjoy your vino.
In the beautiful Pacific Northwest!

Vivian, Thank you for these pictures. I love the idea of those awards. That would mean more to me then a ribbon! How clever. Can't wait to see more tomorrow.

Vivian :The antiques were spread all over the hall, but this is a great display.
The quilts are lovely but I am drawn more to the antique display. Waiting to see more.

Wha!!?? whozer ?? Oh Gini, Ok, coffee...I'm awake, I'll post more.
For you Agnes.
I love the way this one seems to be made with curves but there is only straight line sewing. I tried to talk her into a curved quilting, but she tried and couldn't make it work.
Bright, very bright but still didn't win the "brightest quilt" award!!
I'll send these in separate posts, my computer is beyond slow as I'm using an old air card.
I love the embroider technique used on this wall hanging.
Hand work but still didn't impress the (non-quilting) judges enough to allow a win.
this one won the brightest quilt award. Sorry, I tried to rotate it to late.
One of my favorite wall hangings. Also, the little quilt on the bottom right is done with border prints. I watched her take it apart when it was noticed that one of the blocks in the centre was put together incorrectly.
Thats the highlights, hope you enjoyed it.
