hi jodie, welcome to the group, it sounds like you have the perfect quilting set-up
prairie dog. i'm coming over for pasties so make lots. when sam and i were in your neck of the woods on vacation a couple of years ago, we kept seeing signs for pasties and we both commented on how brazen you all were, advertizing your pasties so openly, everywhere. after passing several signs, we got suspicious, so we stopped. as we were having our first pastie, sam looked at me and said he might prefer wisconsin pasties more than the ones we have here. after the third stop, i told him we'ld better quit stoppping at every pasties sign or we wouldn't fit on the airplane to get back home. who knew there was more than one kind of pasties.

Thanks for the welcome Gini! Ugly , rainy day here so-o-o-o I went downstairs to play with my fabric! lol It's everywhere.
Oh, I avoid pasties because they are so addicting! YUM!
Welcome Jody S., glad you could join us, enjoy!
Thanks for the welcome, Marie. I'll be lurking and reading for a bit but no doubt I'll have questions!
Oh, Oh, Oh PD Pasties, MMMmmm my favorite. I'll be there for dinner. Yum yum Ginny LOL
Hi Jody, welcome to the group.
I am a newbie (sort of) and have learned a lot from the wonderful people here. You should check out and join some of the groups.
Oh, and I have been to Mackinac Island and was wanering if you are close to there....
Thanks for the welcome, Margaret. Looks like a fun place to be!
Thanks for the welcome, Bev. I'm sure I'll learn a lot here.
Mackinac Island is wa-a-a-ay over on the other side of the Upper Penninsula from me. The U.P. is so big and at times feels like 3 people live here! lol
Welcome to the club Jody. You will definitely love it here. I was lucky enough to get an almost new Bernina from my father. He gave me my step mother's machine when she passed. I am certainly not addicted to quilting or fabric. My husband says I'm a hoarder so I can't be addicted, right? I also live in the middle of the mountains in a very small town. My closest LQS is 40 miles away. I live in California though. You are so lucky to get a whole basement. I have a tiny bedroom but I have packed it really well. Again WELCOME!
Georgetown, CA I'd Rather Be Quilting
Thanks Melissa! This looks like a great place. Addiction?! Ha! I have years worth of fabrics. I always buy 10 yds of each fabric at a time! lol Can't help it. Otherwise I'd have to drive over 50 miles. Ahhh, California. I used to live there, So. Cal.
JodyS: Ahhh, California. I used to live there, So. Cal.
I used to live in So Cal also. over 40 years ago though.
Thanks much Kris!
Welcome, Judy! I wonder if we crossed paths at the Madison Quilt Expo. I spent 3 days there and went to many of the 1-hr lectures and took one whole day to visit the vendors and the quilt exhibits. It was a long drive for me, though.
I hope you get a chance to meet up with Prairie Dog some day. She's a hoot!
