Hi all.  I am heading to Ann Arbor and Canton MI this weekend.  I have been to JoAnns in Canton but was wondering if anyone had any recommendations for the Ann Arbor area.

Marilyn, you're probably already on the road and may not get this post. I'm not as familiar with southern Michigan quilt shops. I did see this shop listed as a top ten shop in Michigan, though.

Pam,that is a very nice quilt shop.  I have been there 2ce when I had to go to Ann Arbor.   A better one though is Country Stitches in East Lansing.  It is up from AA by a few miles, but certainly worth the trip.  Always great sale fabrics, too.   Ginny

I used to live down there in that area. There are several fabric stores by Livonia and Detroit area. Let's see if I can remember two of their names.

Here are a few this one I did not know about either.

Thank you all for the suggestions.  I did get back to JoAnns in Canton but we did not stay in Ann Arbor long enough to visit the fabric stores.  We went to the Hands-On museum which was a lot of fun even though my youngest is 25, we are all still kids at heart.  We went out for lunch then went to the market which was huge.  My son got a picture for his wall which is the only thing that is in his living room as yet.  We left early because there was a football game and even though we were going in the other direction the traffic was a mess.  I am sure we will be going down at least once more before the snow flies and I will hopefully have time to go to the stores then.  I have saved the names.  Thank you.
