I realised the other night when I put yet another item in the box that I'm finished except for the pie carrier in her favourite colours I still have to complete.  But I am not going to wrap until closer to sending time.  That way I'll get my "pre-Christmas fix" in the delight of looking through the items and wrapping them.  We are sending the SS packages on the eve of St. Nicholas day, which is when I usually just begin thinking about Christmas gifts.  This has been and is a lot of fun!

Yes, Ladies, I just put my package on the mail.(Or in the mail?)  I'm so lucky to be living abroad, I get to send early. Ohh, the suspense was just killing me. But now, everything is out of my hands, literally. I can sit back and relax. I'm already looking forward to next year.

Wow, Gerie.  I'm still working on thinking about the items.  Going to Atlanta Monday, maybe I can find some things there.  Getting excited.

Well, my SS recipient seems to have disappeared off this message board.  I haven't seen her around in 3 weeks and hope she is OK.  "Stalking" someone to find out more about them is difficult when they are not around. <grin>  My box of goodies is pretty much finished but I was enjoying learning more about my special person.

I envy those that have already been shopping!  I'll be doing that next weekend.  I have so many quilts going right now it's insane.  I have one that has to be done on December 1st for a wedding present (though is it bad that I'm thinking about sneaking it in their house while they are on their honeymoon??)

I feel the same way...about not being able to "stalk" my giftee.  I haven't had time, until last week to even get online.  So I have quite a bit of catching up to do.  And I need to figure out what I'm even going to do.  I want to make something, but haven't the foggiest idea of what as yet.

Dang...I feel so very far behind!  I really need to just take a couple of my non-working days to sew/quilt.  I have at least 2 quilts that I need to get finished up for Christmas presents, but don't know how to do them on my little machine...I need to take the Craftsy class about big projects on small machines, but that requires funds that are in tight supply with me not working.  Ugh...I should have purchased the class when I was working.  So much for planning ahead!

I have a dear friend of my daughter's that is pg with her first--a boy.  I found two quilts in one of the June magazines that has skateboards, and one with high-top tennies.  I want to combine the two patterns into one quilt for them.  They are both really into what they call long-boarding.  And she wears her high-tops even with dresses.  She's quite the character, and sweet to boot!  It will be fun to make another boy quilt.  There aren't many boys in my family to make quilts for, and frankly, I'm a little tired of butterflies, lol!

So, since it's just about Noon, I need to get my dishes from yesterday done, and then I will sit down to sew.  I have a phone interview this afternoon, some time between 1 and 3.  After that, I'm going to head over to the library to see if I can find the magazine with the quilt patterns.

I sure wish I had a large enough space to sandwich a quilt!  Darn it....hmmm....I'll have to think about that for a bit.  If I can get it figured out, I can tie one of the quilts.  That will work.  It's not as nice when it's finished, but at least it would be done.  And the person it's for really wouldn't care.  She's already seen the top, and was disapponted when I told her it wasn't for her.  HAHAHAHHA!!  I love making gifts underneath the giftee's nose.

Hi Ladies,

I hope to start the handmade project for my Secret Santa this week end. I am having issues with my sewing machine but I have a feeling that it's me and not the machine. So I have scheduled a visit to the LQS this Saturday morning to see if they can help me. A part from that I have everything else, so hopefully I will be ready by shipping day.

In the meantime I have to do a baby quilt and finish two quilts that I have started at the Walnut Place Retreat.

Happy quilting to everybody

Isabella

Mine's almost ready to go.  I just want to find something pretty to wrap some of the items in.  My recipient is active on the boards, so has been pretty easy to "stalk" and I know s/he hasn't moved or anything.  :)
