Any of you who live in snowy climates may appreciate this one...

The Good Wife...................

On a bitterly cold winter's morning a husband and wife in Chicago were
listening to the radio during breakfast.

They heard the announcer say, "We are going to have 8 to 10 inches of snow
today. You must park your car on the even-numbered side of the street, so
Snowplows can get through conveniently".

So the good wife went out and moved her car as instructed.

A week later while they are eating breakfast again, the radio announcer
said, "We are expecting 10 to 12 inches of snow today. You must park your
car on the odd-numbered side of the street, so the snowplows can get
through."

The good wife went out and moved her car again.

The next week they are again having breakfast when the radio announcer says,
"We are expecting 12 to 14 inches of snow today. You must park......." Then
the power went off.

The good wife was very upset, and with a worried look on her face she said,
"I don't know what to do. Which side of the street do I need to park on so
the snowplows can get through?"

Then, with all the love and understanding in his voice that men who are
married to blondes always exhibit, the husband replied, "Why don't you just
leave the car in the garage this time?"

On the banks of the Mississippi River in north central Minnesota (Brainerd lakes area)

I don't think that would work for me, every time I glanced at that patch I would be tempted to go buy fabric, play with fabric, fondle fabric, etc. The only thing that might work would be blinders.

A man came home from work and found his 3 children outside, still in their pajamas, playing in the mud, with empty food boxes and wrappers strewn around garden....

The door of his wife's car was open, as was the front door to the house and no sign of the dog, walking in the door; he found ...an even bigger mess.

A lamp had been knocked over, the throw rug was against one wall, in the front room the TV was on loudly with the cartoon channel, and the family room was strewn with toys and various items of clothing.

In the kitchen, dishes filled the sink, breakfast food was spilled on the counter, the fridge door was open wide, dog food was spilled on the floor, a broken glass lay under the table, and a small pile of sand was spread by the back door.

He quickly headed up the stairs, stepping over toys and more piles of clothes, looking for his wife. He was worried she might be ill, or that something serious had happened.

He was met with a small trickle of water as it made its way out the bathroom door. As he peered inside he found wet towels, scummy soap and more toys strewn over the floor.

Miles of toilet paper lay in a heap and toothpaste had been smeared over the mirror and walls. As he rushed to the bedroom, he found his wife still curled up in the bed in her pajamas, reading a novel.

She looked up at him, smiled and asked how his day went.

He looked at her bewildered and asked, 'What happened here today?'

She again smiled and answered, 'You know every day when you come home from work and you ask me what in the world do I do all day????

''Yes," was his incredulous reply.

She answered, 'Well, today I didn't do it.'
