Marie:
You could have knocked me over with a feather when I saw who they were
talking about...I had no idea....wait till you see who it is. What a
simple but most sincere and moving acceptance speech.

Yes, a great speech and a great man with a great name. :)

Here's the joke Pastor shared in church yesterday....

A minister decided that a visual demonstration would add emphasis to his Sunday children's sermon. Four worms were placed into four separate jars. The first worm was put into a container of alcohol. The second worm was put into a container of cigarette smoke. The third worm was put into a container of chocolate syrup. The fourth worm was put into a container of good clean soil.

At the conclusion of the children's sermon, the Minister reported the following results: The first worm in alcohol - Dead. The second worm in cigarette smoke - Dead. Third worm in chocolate syrup - Dead. Fourth worm in good clean soil - Alive.

So the Minister asked the children, "What can you learn from this demonstration?"

Little Johnny, sitting in the back, quickly raised his hand and said, "As long as you drink, smoke and eat chocolate, you won't have worms!"

Now let me see which one of Marie's jokes I want to send to him for next Sunday...

MNnancy---  How could you?    There I was, sitting having my 2nd cup of coffee for the morning and read that enlightenment from your pastor.  That went okay, but when I started to take a sip, I just burst into laughter.  Every time I started to take a sip, I thought of little Johnny's answer.  I can't get this cup of coffee drank so I can go back to quilting my future GGS quilt.

P.S. everyone, Prayers are needed for my Granddaughter and her unborn son.  She is home from the hospital on bed rest. Her SO had to come in off the road to be with her.  She is very nauseated and hardly able to keep things down.  She is brittle diabetic.  The baby was under stress in the hospital for quite a while according to his heart rates.  She needs to get thru a couple more weeks before they will take the baby.   Oh how I hate it when a mom-to-be is on medicaid and I strongly feel she isn't getting the care that needs to be rendered.   From one scared Great Grandma Ginny

Ginny,

I'm very sorry to hear it.  Your GD and her baby are in my thoughts regularly.  I really hope everything turns out ok.

Ginny...

I am sorry to hear about your granddaughter. I will put them in my prayers.

I agree I don't think the ones on medicaid get the best care all the time but sadly I know around  here even with paid private insurance the medical care you get isn't always what it should or could be for any and all.
