well, i take exception to the song. does this mean we shouldn't patronize a jewish, muslin, buddhist, or even an athiest shop? i thought christianity was about inclusion, not exclusion.
christ wasn't born in december. the winter solstice is a season celebrated by most peoples all over the world, since long before christmas was a holiday. the "christmas" spirit is about giving, about loving your fellow man., reguardless of his or her beliefs. so does it really matter if a sign says happy holiday of merry christmas? i don't think so. i tell my friends of other faiths merry christmas, and they return with happy hanukkah, or what ever their faith dictates. it's about the loving and caring, not which words are used. all this stuff about merry christmas/happy holidays. i will take the message however it is delivered, and i will return it with merry christmas. that neither diminishes my belief or raises theirs', or vice versa.
so, happy holidays to everyone, and merry christmas, too.

You are very welcome Spud! Saw on Facebook and had to share!
For me, Jesus is the reason for this season, but tonight I am celebrating Hanukkah with my daughter. Happy Hanukkah! Tonight we lit the first candles, tomorrow two candles. Boy those latkes are smelling good!

I must live a sheltered life. I have never eaten latkes, but I would like to.
What timing! Look what I just stumbled across over on Facebook...
