A new friend of mine is shipping some of her quilt tops for me to long arm.  I'm thinking of buying some new rulers to use on her quilts.  I have several from Dusty's website.  I want to do a really good job on her quilt tops. The ones I have from Dusty's website are the ones to make feathers, half circles and corners.  I'd like to find some new ones.  Would some of you who use rulers please tell me which rulers are your "go to" rulers? The ones you use most often?

Ginny:

Wow Jeanine, she has quite a collection of quilt squares, but they all come together beautifully with the sashing and borders.   Ginny

We received a trash bag full of clothes, etc. from our client.  My friend came up with all these blocks based on the assortment and some of the preferences of the client.  She liked birds, butterflies, wanted teh sunbonnet sue and liked the mariner's compass block.  The blocks were a challenge to make so I had the easy part of putting them together.  My challenge will be to try to custom quilt it!

Hi Christine,

My favorite all time ruler is the Itsy Bitsy ruler by Off the edge quilting. It fits in my hand and I can slide it on the ruler base of my Miss Jewel and do continuous seams. It also has a small arch on the other side that make perfect Orange Peel and curve designs in smaller squares.

Hope this helps

Ramona,

Here is a picture of the final product.  Finished quilting it and mailed it off to the customer today.  Thank you for your help!

I named this one Deep in the Heart of Texas.

This is my current project I started on yesterday afternoon.  Started sewing it all together this morning before I had to leave and go to work.  Darn job sure does get in the way of my quilting!  But I'm thankful to have one!

Sylvia, your cross quilt is going to be nice.  Love the colors.  I, too, have a love/hate relationship with my job.  I guess I should get offline and go to work.

Thank you Jeanine.  I'm looking forward to getting it all sewn together and then try and figure out how I'm going to quilt it.

Work is no fun, quilting is my joy!   Ahhh  someday...............

I guess I'd better get back to work!  LOL!

Here's the quilt I'm working on today.  it's the quilt made by the 12 yo beginner.  I'm using a Lisa Calle panto that has a heart.  I think she'll like it.  This pattern has lots of curves and will hopefully help disquise the puckers/tucks in the blocks.  I know she'll love it!

Have to show you the quilt I made for my #2 grandaughter, It is a Barbara Jones of Quilt Soup pattern.  Had a lot of fun quilting this one.  I was watching thier house one week and surprised them with this when they returned.  They loved it.

Robyn, the Christmas fabrics are beautiful, great choices!  And I LOVE the baby's quilt.  Especially the applique, great job!

Robyn,  that is an absolutely beautiful quilt for a little girl.  If my DGD were having a girl, I would try to copy that.   But they are having a boy so I have to keep looking for the quilt I want to make.   Ginny
