Here is a customer quilt made from her Mom's shirts. She made it for her twin brother. I used a panto called Hearts Gone Wild.

This panto requires 15" I think. You will need to choose pantos that fit your "quilt able space" available. For a mid arm, I would think you need to have narrower design. But other than that, you should be able to do any panto.

I do to but being alone for a day before the classes start is a bit lonely. You can only read so much and with no vehicle, walk so much. I made the best connections I could to arrive in somewhat awake fashion so that means time alone. I'm sure, at a later date, I will look at this time a kick myself for complaining.

Nice work Jeanine! I have a question for you, have you ever quilted a round Christmas tree skirt? I am attempting one right now and learning as I go, so far I have basted it all down and will do a lot of quilting on it because it is pieced with strips of bias. (yikes!) and there is extra poof to it. Wish me luck or send me any tips if you have done this. :)

I have never quilted a round tree skirt. Basted would definitely be a good idea. I took a class once that said you should stitch in the ditch to secure all your quilting areas and then quilt from the outside in. This is backwards from how you would think...from the center out. She said if you start in the center and work out, you will wonky edges. Other than that, I have no real advise based on personal experience.
