Liz, when I did a baby quilt with cotton top and minky backing, I used a basting spray to sandwich my quilt so I didn't have to worry about the minky stretching while I worked on it. It turned out very nice.

We had a really good time. I also got several quilts to do from the retreat...finished two so far. Will post pictures sometime soon.
I am thrilled! The latest upgrade for my iPad actually allows me to upload pictures directly from the iPad! Thank you!
My friend finished her binding on her tshirt quilt. I think I shared this one before.
here is a baby quilt I did custom. My customer loved it. Getting better...
One of my daughter's quilts. She loves having her own longarmer at her disposal.
Another one of my daughter's.
Land one for charity using donated fluffy batting...
And that's my last week's work...
Wow, Jeanine, I am so impressed with your quilting. I especially like the way the alpabet letters stand out. I hadn't seen your friends quilt before, she did an exceptional job on that, thhe way she framed each tee shirt is wonderful, Your daughter really has taken off with her quilting. I love her modern expressions that her quilts show. Ginny
Thanks, Ginny. I really liked how the alphabet quilt turned out. I designed the tshirt quilt from a picture of a similar quilt she found on the Internet. I do love the shadow effect. And, of course, I am very proud of my daughter as she expands her quilting passion. She does have her own style.
Jeanine, WOW!!!!!! your quilting is absolutely stunning on all the quilts. You have such an eye. Your daughter has really come along with her quilting. Having a go-to quilter certainly helps to give her incentive I'm sure. She is making some beautiful quilts! I, too, love how she framed the t-shirts. Hadn't seen that before. Makes it really pop. You get so much done.
I posted some pictures in another area but thought I'd share here too. Here's what I was working on and off on for the last couple of weeks. This was the second red and white quilt I quilted for my friend.
Then I moved on to something a little easier that my SIL sent. I think she needs something done to the door and someone on here suggested stained glass but in talking with my SIL she has some plans of her own for the door.
Love the quilting, Ramona, on the red and white quilt. It is so fun to do custom quilting that really fits the quilt. It looks great.
Ladies, all of your quilts are beautiful!!!
Life is like a quilt...bits & pieces, joy & sorrow, stitched with love
Thank you Jeanine! Yes, I love the custom work. Just wish I was better at it. I get so nervous and can't decide what to do where. But, yes, it is fun!
