What brand?  I've been making mine without the aid of a bias maker. Lol. Just like everyone else.

it's made by simplicity.   i've only seen the ones made by clover and they only go down to 1/4"

Hi Gini,

i had to search what a 1/8 in bias maker looked like.  Did you just buy a tip to make the 1/8 inch bias strips  I just made my first 1/4 inch bias strip yesterday for an appliqué block I am doing for practice using the bias bars I thought I had to have. Now you tell me there is an easier way? lol.

Bev

I hate bias bars.  All I ever manage to do with those is burn myself.   The clover bias makers are so much easier.  I use my 1/4" one all the time.

While "straightening" the room I use for quilting I counted about 15 planned projects and about 6 UFO's. You think that would be enough to keep me out of quilt shops and Joann's for awhile but then I see another pattern I just have to have and away I go,  hee hee...

i counted over 40 ufos one time.  i decided that counting ufos is for folks who don't have better things to do, like making more ufos.  i never even got to the planned projects.  how do you count those.  are those just the planned projects where  you have fabric or patterns or both, or is the planning only in your head.   i'm thinking of numbers of upwards of thousands.  this is giving me a headache, i think i'll go start another project, that aways happies me up.

I've been cutting and sewing strips together this morning while the plumber's been here trying to solve a problem with my master bath tub.  It just wouldn't drain.  Had septic tank pumped Jan. 2 so knew it wasn't that.  Yesterday he took toilet off and snaked as far as he could and it didn't seem too bad, and then reset the toilet.  Problem still there.   He took tiles out downstairs in my quilt studio and it looked like a snake where the tub drain was.  When the house was built, they must have used all the little bits and pieces of leftover pvc pipes and  such.  Plumber came back today to cut all that out and do it right.  Still plugged.  He had to go back to where an intersection was and cut a piece out of there....Yup, there it is.....should tell you..main problem was idiot who did it first time, had drain pipes LEVEL.......Drains have to have a pitch down so the waste goes down....small pitch but still......Everything now working great.  Now that everything was moved around so the plumber could get to all the pipes in the ceiling of my studio,  I have the perfect reason to do some sorting.  Have a great day sewing and I'll have some fun sorting.

here are the raffle quilts i made for the kids' school fundraiser.  i don't know why they didn't post  right-side-up, oh well.   the leaf quilt is my favorite, it was made by the fourth graders,  the fish quilt was made by the third graders and the flowers were done by the second graders.    the three quilts brought in nearly $1000 for the school.   i have been wanting to use some of the kids art in quilts since i started volunteering there.     this was a great opportunity.
