Judy, love your pin cushion/ scrap bag. Was the pattern a freebee?
Millbury, MA
Donna, fingers crossed and keeping positive thoughts that you can do this. (((((HUGS)))))
Wow, lots of posts since I last checked in. Judy - love your pincushion/scrap bag. I sew on carpet, so really need something similar. Annette - welcome! Love the soft colours in your quilt, and I echo what others have said in that you won't notice the white seams once you've got the batting in place. Donna -- you will do great on the wedding quilt. As I remember, you have several months, so you can go slow.
I had another bout of insomnia last night so made a jelly roll style quilt top from 3" wide strips of tie dye. It is wild! From starting to cut the strips to trimming, it took a bit over 2 hours. I know quilting isn't a race, but I love seeing tops come together quickly. And when I'm piecing in the wee hours, I need something simple. I need to border it. Don't want to use black, so am open to any ideas. I'll back it with one of the tie dye fabrics as I have some 108" wide.

Marie, click on this link SewMamaSew Blog . Scroll down and you'll see a link for Free PDF Tutuorial for the Weighted Pincushion Organizer. I found part of the instructions confusing but after ripping and frogging, I finally got it down.
In the beautiful Pacific Northwest!

I love your strip quilt. I think that beautiful deep pink or the aqua/green would make a pretty border.

Very nice quilt Bridgit-Carol. So that is what would happen if I got up in the middle of the night! I think my ripper tool would be well used the next day...lol. I am just amazed that you can sew so nicely in the middle of the night! And your colors look great too!
