Patricia Faye:Saturday I finished my QAYG Orphan Squares I put together several months ago, but never got around to adding the sashing & binding. I think it turned out cute.

Patricia - I like your quilt and I'm sure you GD will as well.
What is the address of the blog you found that teaches how to organize UFO's. I am flitting from one to another and not getting anything accomplished. I need a siggy to read something like "so many projects, so little time".... :)

I worked on a quilt top (that will be a gift for my MIL) this morning before I left for work! I don't like the areas where you can see the seam allowances through the white sashing that is pieced together so I may add some applique flowers, hearts, or words using the dark pink border material and place them over those seams to hide them. I am a beginner quilter and I didn't follow any specific pattern, just a basic disappearing nine patch and then I added sashing and borders because I wanted it to be bigger. I used two Moda coquette charm packs and a couple of white charms I had laying around. I used some white yardage I had laying around for the sashing. I still have to buy something for the back. I'm trying to decide between muslin or a print. As for quilting, I'll probably just do stitch in the ditch or an echo, something straight and easy for my machine.
very pretty quilt ,I think I'd go with a print backing ,but that's just me , I'm sure what ever you choose for quilting will be beautiful . good luck Annette...Barbara
EAT!! SLEEP !! QUILT!!
Kelly I love the owls fabric and the green. Not so sure about the pink though...on my computer it looks too different from the one on the owls. I think you need more of a purple pink or a pale pink. Now I think there is some aqua on the wings? That would look good too... Sorry this is my two cents worth!

Hi Nana,
Thanks!
I just joined a couple of days ago and I have been busy with Girl Scout cookie season so I hadn't had the chance to find the intro board but I am going to go there now. I love this so much I signed up for the Premium membership. I can't get enough of quilting. Even when I can't quilt I love to just browse through the quilt books, magazines and websites.
Thanks for the welcome!
Thanks Barbara, I think I will go with a print background.
Very pretty quilt, Annette. Pretty pinks.
