Linda, your three quilts are extraordinary. You have been a busy quilter. Way to go.

Fab quilts Linda.
Brigit-Carol so sorry about your dog. I feel your pain as I can still remember how bad it feels from when we had our labrador put to sleep 5 years ago.
I have done some quilting today, I am making my Goddaughter a Twister quilt. I was worried about cutting it out but I bite the bullet and it is coming together nicely. Will post pictures of the finished quilts.
I also need to finish the binding on the quilts I have made for my sons. They know nothing about them, my eldest son gets married in May so this is as a wedding present. The youngest will have his for their 2nd wedding anniversary.
I hope to get more of my goddaughters quilt done tomorrow.
Just got my new Baby Lock Esante home and set up. Ready to go try it out.

Bridget Carol, you should make that mouse and fill it with catnip...then your cats would go bananas.
So sorry for your loss, our four legged friends really become family, and their loss is just as great. I just know I'll see mine in heaven someday, when I go up to be with Jesus my Lord and Savior. It never gets any easier, but we just have to have our memories and they lessen some of the pain.
Spent about 5 hours handquilting on my son's quilt only to discover the lines are crooked and I spent another 2 hours ripping it all out. The later was after I shed several tears. Quilting this crosshatching has been so frustrating. If I had done it right the first time, I could have finished two quilts in the amount of time I've spent quilting, ripping, and quilting again on this quilt. Oh well, tomorrow's another day. Hopefully, I get it requilted -- straight this time -- tomorrow.
Jane
Linda, wonderful quilts.

Jane, sorry to hear about your frustrating day. Try using blue painters tape to mark your lines. It lifts off fabric cleanly.
Patti, LOVE your mouse pincushion!
Brigit Carol, I'm sorry to hear about dear pet. So difficult...
Linda, pretty quilts!

Well I have an interesting little story to tell. Today I went to a thrift store. They had 4 big boxes of quilting, crocheting and knitting books. I picked up 5 quilting books for $3. One of the books is a Seminole Patchwork borders book. It is exactly what I was looking for. It is from 1980 but I love it. I will be going back again tomorrow to see if there is anything I overlooked. Now to start a new technique.

Patti: Well I didn't work on a quilt today. I organized my sewing room and fabric. I found an old kit from years ago and made myself a new pin cushion/thread holder.

Well this is just too cute.
Brigit-Carol:The reason I haven't worked on a quilt lately is my 16 yo dog, Elgar, is in his last days and I've been spending extra time with him
Oh Brigit-Carol, I'm so sorry to hear that. What a heartbreaking day for you. My prayers go out to you for your peace of mind. I hope you can get some rest.
