Well I didn't work on a quilt today. I organized my sewing room and fabric. I found an old kit from years ago and made myself a new pin cushion/thread holder.

Your mouse pin and thread holder is adorable, Patti.
Nice job on the pincushion thread holder.
Quilting My Rainbow
No, I worked on two of the three quilts I have going right now. One I am currently hand-quilting for my daughter. One I am machine quilting for myself. And one I have just started appliquing for Easter. I managed to work on both the machine quilted one and the bunnies today. My daughter's will get it "me time" tommorrow.

Patti, love your pin cushion, very cute
Patti - that pin cushion is beyond cute. Wouldn't last long in my house with three cats, however. Sorry to hear of the family illness-problems.
I haven't worked on a quilt in the past few days, but did order yet another sewing machine. :) It's a Janome Jem I got on E-Bay for less than half price. I've been invited to join a weekly quilting group, so needed a small machine to tote around, and Featherweights are just so expensive.
The reason I haven't worked on a quilt lately is my 16 yo dog, Elgar, is in his last days and I've been spending extra time with him. My neighbour lifted him into the car yesterday and we went driving on the country roads with the windows open. He's too weak to stand for very long, but he would get up and stick his head out the window for several minutes at a time with his ears flapping just like in happier days. Then to Dairy Queen for an ice cream cone. The vet will be here at noon today to put him down. I'll miss him dearly as he's been with me in some pretty tough times. But I know it is time to let him go.
Brigit-Carol, it is so hard to lose such a good friend. We pampered our dog the last few months, and kept him going perhaps longer than we should have. I kept thinking that it would be time when he lost his love of eating, which never happened. We slept with him on the living room floor the last couple months. Took him for drives when he could no longer get out and in of the car without help. Actually, he couldn't even stand up without help. I would stop and open the hatch so he could enjoy the different smells. The last day on the way to the vet, I bought him lunch meat to eat.
He was a Bernese Mountain Dog.
Love the pin cushion. He is so cute.
