Michelle:

Mimi, your hubby does beautiful work!  My DH is handy, but he doesn't do anything like that.  Wish he did.

Angele:
my DH would absolutely love the fabric you have for the apron. Where did you get it?

Angele, my LQS still carries it even though it's an older RJR line. Mr. Fix-It by Dan Morris.  Here's a web site that still has some.

Nancy as much as I wish my DH would do this work, I think you meant Michelle.  My DH would have to investigate and read and read some more before he'd try anything this complicated.

Michelle the featherweight machines sound very interesting.  I would like to see some pictures of them.

That's the store here in San Antonio where I bought my Horn table, my first computerized machine and took my first quilting class!  It's a place near and dear to my heart :o)

Debbie,

I requested you as a friend, so we can talk if you want me to post more pictures of the featherweights. He usually has all the attachments with them, including buttonhole. They also have the carrying case, foot pedal of course, 3 books he uses for maintenance , the original sewing manual. I also make quilted covers for them to travel in the cases so the paint is not chipped when you are moving them around. He does the longer arm ones, I have only seen a few of the shorter arm ones, he hasn't done any of those that I can remember.

Angele - love the star quilt!  It looks like that could be a great Quilt of Valor if you're not planning to keep it for yourself.  Do you have QoV organizations in Canada?  Nice job with the quilting, too!

Patti:
I just finished the top for a baby quilt for a co-worker.  Hope to get it quilted this weekend so I can give it to her Monday.

Very nice Patti. I really like the colours.

MNnancy:
Now we've switched our attention this month to making chemo hats out of recycled t-shirts.  These can be dressed up with a scarf.

What a great idea and a wonderful gesture.

MNnancy:
He wants me to get back to his woodshop apron.  I'm making it reversible out of these fabrics.

Perfect fabrics for this. I've seen the laminate but never used it.

MNnancy:
And finally I'm still playing around with my new featherweight - cleaning, oiling, lubricating, adjusting.  Can't wait to start a quilt top with this!

Colour me jealous too. Your machine is lovely.
