Great job on the quilt, Mimi. I like it too. It does have a manly attraction though, I can see why your DH likes it. Ginny

Pam, which version did you buy. I looked at the website and there are a couple different ones, the Back RX was $50. Then it also offered an extra attachment (for $13) for people who operate foot pedals, like sewers. It supposed to prevent the strap from coming off the knee. Did you get that?
It looks like it would be great for those with low back pain or even, like me, pinched neck nerves.
My only thing is that I'm up and down from my sewing machine constantly to iron, cut out additional pieces, clean up cat barf, you name it. It might be great when I'm actually doing the quilting although even then it seems like I'm constantly jumping up for something. Wouldn't I have to remove and replace the thingys that go across the knees each time I get up and down?
I'll look for it at the next trade show I go to.
In the beautiful Pacific Northwest!
I got the BACK UP one- the other was too small for my big fat backside to be comfy. I forgot to add they have you lie down like the astronauts do in space as they use these and it was again- unbelieveable.
So weird.
Anyway- yep to get up you just stand up! Knee things are loosley aroun knee tops and back thing is on ya like a lifting brace thingy. When you sit again just go- loop loop onto your knees and pull the little side straps straight out in front of you. Easy peasy.
Forgot to add- no I didn't get any extras as I was shown to sew you remove right knee one and place it over your left knee with other one and it works. I could sew with it under my right foot anyway, without moving straps, just by placing it properly under foot.
is there a joke forum?
I will put a link here but will use joke forum if there is one when informed.

Karla your grand baby makes quite a handsome Santa baby! He is sooooo cute!
Angèle from NWO
Agnes I love that quilt. I really like how each block showcases a different flower print. Great job!
Mimi, love the quilt and love, love the colors! You did an amazing job!
As for quilting, yes I have. I've been machine quilting my friend's DGS quilt. If I had meandered the whole top I would've been done Saturday. But since I decided to add details in the stars.... It takes longer. But it's almost done. Just about 14 corner blocks and then put on the binding. Yeah! Picture to follow soon. This is my January UFO. Can't wait to hand it over...
Angele:Mimi, love the quilt and love, love the colors!
Thanks Angele. It was the mystery quilt for New Year's Day 2013 so I had no idea how it was going to turn out. I'm going to use dark blue for the quilting...I think. DH picked out a border he likes so I'll be piecing that soon. I'll keep y'all posted as I can.
Thanks Leslie for your kind words and I was quietly wondering the same thing about Gini's trophy mouse. LOL
