Judy T-Bellingham:
I'm going to take a one day class, Mid February, at the quilt shop on cutting it for the Wonder. Then I'll bring the cut pieces to Branson to assemble.

Oh, good, it will be fun to see how that goes together!

The Committee met on the subject of border for Sophie's quilt. The decision was unanimous; no border at all. The backing, a dark brown organic cotton sheet, will be folded over to make a thin brown border. Here is a pic of the top. It's really a couple of shades darker or brighter than it looks in this. The brilliant Norther AZ sun washed it out a bit. So as soon as I get the strength to iron and sandwich it, I'll get started on the quilting. A grid (tape) for the nine patches. Each big muslin patch will have a heart, star, or flower quilted in the middle.

I finished the top to "heavenly lights" and had lots of left over fabric. Got the big idea I'd make a backing from all those scraps. Wellllll....I've now 2 quilts. So I placed an order with CT and if I'm lucky should be here tomorrow and I can then quilt them. Someone is getting a Christmas quilt next year and I have my Christmas quilt. I'll post photos once they are quilted.. I've moved on to a pair of flannel jammies for mayself. Ohio winters are cold They will be done today. Next on the agenda is Pastor's 23rd Psalm banner.I surprise next time he comes to give me communion. I can't think any further ahead than that right now. Head is pounding and coughing is back which means trouble.

Hugs.

I finished up another quilt top.   This one was started at the Tennessee retreat in June.  The pattern is called Barn Raising but sort of reminds me of trip around the world.

Nana, your Barn Raising quilt is beautiful.  I really like the color combinations.  An "Around the World" quilt is on my "To Do Someday" list, but I haven't bought fabric for it so it doesn't count as a UFO  ... yet.  Anyway, nice job.  Very pretty.
