Nana, I took over  my dining area,  After my fall from upstairs, I decided i was not climbing up and down them anymore.

I did work on a very small quilt...I did the pot holder pattern I received from Thea for my birthday.  Fun and easy.  I see that every one is busy getting started on their 2013 quilts.  Some are working, others are planning some are shopping...I think we will see some more amazing quilts in the days and months to come.  ;-)

I am totally whipping along on Sophie's quilt. There are seven rows, and I have five done now. This weekend it will be time to figure out the border.

I'm asking my DW to help with matching and colors and things on this, since it's for a girl and all pink and stuff.

Re: whoever said about taking over the living space for sewing --- There, been there, and not about to change. No one complains except one. We took her off the quilt recipient list and moved on.

Off to work, gotta earn for the tax increase.

Thank you all for all the suggestions for my daughters wedding quilt.  I have decided to go with Sara's quilt for several reasons.  First off it is a beautiful quilt.  Second it doesnt look too difficult, and if I have problems I will have to contact Joe here in AZ for help.  You listening Joe???? Third my daughters name is Sarah, consequence?  And finally, I found a KIT on line for $100.00, which I think is a good deal.  Wish me luck all.

Just finished boxing up my three lap quilts and will head to the Post Office after lunch. Need to let the sun work on the icy streets a little more before I venture out. It is 10 degrees out there, with a bright bright sun...and for once almost no wind.

Finished up the third lap quilt to go to the Alzheimer's Research Group. This one is not destined for the special veteran's program, but will go to a participant in their on-going research group.  This quilt was made during a Block of the Week on another site. The BOW was lead by Weeks Ringle and Bill Kerr. Their quilt was about twice the size of my lap quilt, so it doesn't look exactly like theirs did, but it was still a lot of fun to make. I named it 'Baubles Bangles and Beads'

My Quilt Holder had to go to work this morning so I didn't get a good sunny photo outside. But this one will give you an idea how it turned out. It crinkled up SO nice...and shrank like crazy!  Which surprised me because all the fabrics had been pre-washed.  It measures 45 X 56 after washing.

This completed the last of the finished quilt tops.  I am going to have to look around today and organize my WIP to see which ones will get worked on next.  There are only four, so I may just go 'eenie, meenie, etc'.  Whichever, I have got to do the dishes, mop the floors, and hose out the bathroom first.

Hope you all have a wonderful quilty day!

Max

Let's see. Happy to help Donna except for these issues. I don't know anything about a sewn machine. I don't never follow any pattern but mine. Also I don't know what is Sara's quilt. Other than that, I stand ready to serve. Please remember to talk slow and loud and be willing to repeat yourself.

Carry on.
