KATHY :This is the finished quilt from the last time I posted
Very nice Kathy.
I think I speak for both of us when I say we are VERY excited about this wall hanging!! The seed was planted back in March and now it is ready to go to its new home! PennyWyo and I collaborated on "Mistral" by Toni Whitney. She started off in New Hampshire as a kit from Keepsake Quilting, stopped in southwest Texas for a bit to be appliqued then headed up to Wyoming for the quilting and now is back in southwest Texas where she will live once she is delivered to her new owner either this weekend or next. This is one tired horse!! She'll be living with that friend I did all the curtains and pillows for earlier this year who is a personal favorite of both of ours and she is the reason that we know each other! I'll post some close-ups in my gallery. My part was cut and paste and follow the directions... Penny did the skilled labor and did a fabulous job, as usual! I think we make a good team! Here's Mistral...

After running errands today I'm having trouble with tendon in leg tonight radiating pain. Dr. closed I'll think about mq7's tomorrow.
Quilting My Rainbow
I am taking a little break from sewing. Discovered half way down an edge of MQ7 that I was sewing the border on right side to wrong side. After dinner, I will frog it, and then try Judy's tip to use an old toothbrush to take off the threads.

You ladies did a beautiful job on Mistral. I love Whitneys patterns but haven't had the courage to try one.

And what a collaboration. It's gorgeous. Nice work ladies.
Debbie & Penny, nice job on Mistral! How realistic - your friend is sure to love this! I enjoyed reading the story of three friends.

Well it's certainly been a WHILE since I posted here (August, maybe?)
I've just finished the top of my mother's Christmas present and will be sending it off to my first-ever long arm quilter to complete on Monday.
Note: each of the hands belong to one of my mother's grandchildren (who live in Connecticut, Kentucky, Tennessee, and Georgia). She has NO idea that we've done this!
Here's a closeup of the corner, so you can get a better feel for the colors:
I'll post some more when I get it back from the longarm. Can't wait!
