Pat Lancaster

Sometimes if an answer is not good about a product it is better to e-mail or message privately.  You never know who is lurking and who would sue you.

But here we seem to get a lot of forthright statements!  Don't  know if I'm that brave.

I like the way Joan answered on this public forum...quote "I would not recommend it", pretty safe yet letting her answer you.

You are right, but how sad that we can't share our opinions without worrying about being sued.

I did work on a quilt this weekend.  And I also finished my SS surprise.  Box is just about ready to be taped close.

I worked on two mystery quilts yesterday but I need to do some pressing before pics.  None of them are actually a quilt yet, but more of a quilt in training <grin>.

Today I took a break and made a quilt/ craft caddy.  I had to adjust the measurements as the 5 qt. buckets I found locally were taller and skinnier than what the instructions called for, so this one is mine.  I hope to make 4 more to give as Christmas presents.

I worked on four quilts today, if hunting for fabric counts as working on a quilt! There's the Grinch quilt for my son (I'm still fighting with the postage stamp edges!), MQ7 (Finally made up my mind as to fabrics, will post pics tomorrow), Easy Street (trying to find enough fabrics ) and the Craftsy Class "Quick Quilting with pre-cuts". I'm doing the D9P Jenny shows, not really enjoying it because of the limited color choices and using Fossil Fern for the centers. It's hard work, finding pieces to cut for the "border"! Oh, well, I will survive.

I like the bucket buddy! Does one of them have my name on it? Tell Santa that's what I want for Christmas; maybe he knows where to find them!

I have been re-quilting,Sunday and today. My Mother made a quilt back in the 70's, and the binding was frayed so bad it was hanging off in places. My DS wanted the quilt.(My Mom passed away in Sept. 2000). On closer look I noticed that back was really bad too. So I have been replacing the back and made a new binding. Backing is on, now I'm working on getting the binding on, about half way done.

I work away at the brain builder baby quilt, to the limit of my fingers' ability. Hoping to have it done by mid December for the proud gramma to give at the shower in spring.

Many projects to follow, and more arriving all the time. My sister has sent me a box of old stuff which includes a dress my mother made and grandmother crocheted a pattern over. Blue and white check gingham and crocheted over. Good grief, I need a pic to show, and Lord bless my vocabulary while we are at it. Anyway, I hope to take that apart, make it into a lap quilt and give it bake to my always cold elder sister.

Got to figure how to take that dress apart and cut up without losing the crochet. Hmmm

The quilt/craft caddy was not at all hard to make.  This first one was time consuming as I couldn't find the right size bucket and had to adjust as I sewed.  The instructions called for a Lowe's 5 quart bucket which is shorter and wider than what I could find around here.  But now I have the measurements down pat, they should take about an hour.  The pattern was on a program I found on-line, but here is the print version:
