Gini, very pretty, love the flower
Lovely Christmas balls, table runners and quilt! There is so much talent here. I've finished up the blocks for my last swap of the year. Now I need to concentrate on finishing the string quilt started weeks ago and making gifts for Secret Santa and two Holiday Pal swaps on another board. Oh, and two mystery quilts I've signed up for, but I can get behind on those since I'm making them for after Christmas gifts.
I change my brand every 3 months, that way I hopefully do not build up and immunity. So Far so good. I put out Diazanon (sp?) in spring to kill larve (esp of Japanese beetles) and hopefully reduce the insect population.
I do fear that it kills the good insects so keep looking for natural organic products. A never ending battle.

Your basket quilt is so pretty. I love the applique.

I've been working on my first applique quilt and have the first two squares almost done. I just need to add some embroidery to one and a couple more pieces to the other. I am doing a short BOM at my LQS and we are doing Tuella's Day Out ( http://quilters-paradise.com/cgi-bin/Store/store.cgi?cart_id=1181025.6230.s0&product=qp_patterns&productid=tuellas_day_out_qp1001_pt&page_number1=2&index=41&sales=0&lastmenu= ) but choosing our own fabrics. My first block is full of mistakes but I'm leaving it as is to see what I did wrong and how I can improve.

cute pattern, monika. we would love to see your progress

Easy for you to say... :) Very pretty gini!
Life is like a quilt...bits & pieces, joy & sorrow, stitched with love
Beautiful Gini. The poppy really adds a zing.
In the beautiful Pacific Northwest!
I am slowly working my way through the PP blocks on my sewing table. 100 of them to make 25 blocks. I am loving the pattern, not loving the way my auto cutter does not like to cut the bobbin thread. I am leaving for Salt Lake City today and I am very much looking forward to the break. I may just leave my phone at home. I am going to take a larger than normal carryon as well as my roller bag. Handiquilter recommended it as they have a shopping thing and I am looking at the new bobbin winder they have. Also some rulers for longarm work. Maybe even some fabric.
Gini, your quilt is very cute, even sideways. You are so speedy with that applique. I'm glad you mistakenly brought this to the retreat, this was a great UFO to get completed.
Belfrybat, I like your swap blocks, bright and cheery. I especially like your fussy cut .
thanks everyone. jacy, it didn't feel speedy. it is hard to keep the fabric straight on large appliques and i had to keep hopping up to the iron, i had to unsew several spots. i'm glad it is done.
Gini, very pretty baskets, the Poppy just adds to the beauty.
Brigit-Carol, very nice swap blocks. Sounds like you are going to be very busy.
