Nana:

I have spent the day tracing and cutting out 225 little leaves for an applique project.   Those little buggers were a pain in my rear....LOL>    Hopefully tomorrow I will get the table runner and wallhanging sandwiched and ready to quilt.

@Nana - That's not for the "Little Leaves" quilt in Sunday Morning Quilts, is it?  I have been thinking about making that one - one of these days..

I finished my paper pieced State Star Block Quilt today!  Yippee!  I used Quilt As You Go for each block & stitch in the ditch to put it together.  It is extremely heavy so will keep us nice & toasty this winter.   I thought I would never get the binding all finished on it.  Seemed to take forever, but it is a BIG quilt!  Will keep this one for us.  Now on to the next UFO to finish.

Patricia Faye,

Wow! What an absolutely beautiful quilt! Lots and lots of stars. You are so right about it keeping you nice and warm this winter.  Your next project doesn't appear to be cutting you any breaks in the large area either.  Great job

Candis and Patricia -- wonderful quilts.  And a great start to the two others who began the tube quilts (sorry -- senior moment on names).  I work on another string quilt made tube style after my company left today.  This one has teal for the half square triangle and is really different from when I used muslin. I'm planning on putting these in a diamond shape and using black marbles sashing with this one to hopefully tone it down.  I'll post pics when the top is finished (hopefully tomorrow).  I just wish I could get my points to line up better.  Flying geese and points are really my nemesis.

Very pretty Candis, it's  fun to see how many ways you can layout the tube squares and I really like this one.

No...  these leaves are for a pattern that in picked up in Leavenworth, WA at retreat.  It is called Strawberry Fields by Laura Sage.
