Belfrybat--

Lovely quilt.  The color combination is very striking.

Vivian--

Looking forward to a pic of the finished project.  Isn't it annoying that such a small difference in seam allowance can become a major problem?

Joyce Brenden:
major problem
I'll say, we put pins in the blocks to indicate the correct seam allowance and the pins were tucked up right beside the seam I stitched.  By the time I got a little way up the column, I was out a full inch.  the quilt is sewn in columns so I took out the spacer and it fits just fine.  So, I was good on the seams for one section, out by a thread on another.  I'll use the sections I already made for a zinger.

Vivian,

What was the pattern you were using that the pattern is wrong? Just in case, I don't want to do that pattern and find out too late. :-) Can't wait to see the picture and sorry you had a problems. Frustrating to say the least.

Tension??  Whew! Hope that gets settled soon.

Thanks Ramona,  I am making a table runner out of it and trying to figure out a way to make placemats that will be big enough.  Here is a pic of the table runner top.

Very pretty table runner, Donna.  The tube quilting is neat, how about adding a couple of borders to make the placemats wider and just one skinny border on the top and bottom.  Probably don't know what I'm talking about but looking at your TR that's what I think your problem is.

Donna, I didn't mean to say you had a problem, just thinking that was what you meant by making the place mats big enough.

Donna,

Instead of making the block the size you have in your table runner, why don't you go down to a smaller square up ruler and cut a couple of the block shapes from it.  Maybe placing a block in one or two of the corners and then add light fabric for the center of the placemat. Am I making sense?
