Pam:

You are welcome-Judi.

I envy you being at the coast today- it is one of the most beautiful days God has created!  Azure blue skies- clear and crisp- apples falling to the ground everywhere; plums are littering our street and the blackberries are as big as a man's thumb!

Hope it is as calm at the coast as it is here ...Beam us some pics soon.....Pam

It was drizzly when we arrived yesterday and rained all night. Today is OK and rest of week should be lovely. I'm looking for a quilt shop but my Ap hasn't found one I'm the Astoria area. Just a Joann's. I'll keep looking as we head down the coast. Also checking out a couple possible retreat sites.

Hey Judy,

Now I know why my favorite color is green because I am green with envy (heehee).

I also want to see pics when you get back. I have been to the coast in Oregon and loved it.

Have fun.....

Vivian :

I have been working all weekend on this one and this is my best try at mitered corners.  I just need to get some backing and I can have it done in no time.  I have a great all over quilt pattern picked out.  no fussy block by block for this one.

Vivian,

Do you need my address to send it to, its a beautiful quilt, you should be so proud, you have done a great job.

lots of love

Francesxx

barbara, when you have a really strong center, colorwise, then surround it with lighter colors, you really need to bring the strong color back out and frame it.  the red accomplishes this perfectly.

Vivian. Gorgeous.   Love the colors.

Barbara. You did a lovely job on that quilt.

Even though we are traveling I want you all to know I AM working on a quilt. I cutting out appliqués for an animal quilt.

And I found a quilt shop in Astoria Oregon. So excited. Left George and the dog to roam the waterfront. Found some great local fabric. He asked me if we were going to stop at every quilt shop on the coast. I just smiled. He just groaned.
