Thea - great job (as always) on your snowman quilt.  When do you plan on sending the completed quilt to my house?  :o)

In The Garden is great too.  If one or both of these don't take a ribbon, I will wonder about those judges.

Marge (AKA Dimples):

Judy - all I can say about your quilt is WOW!  I love how EQ7 figured out those corners.  They are great!  This quilt top looks huge!  How big is it?

Thanks Marge. It's 96x96. Those corner blocks gave me fits until I tried a simple 9 patch.  EQ7 made it much easier to figure out.

Barbara - how about a border of that darker reddish fabric that you used around your center?

Judy - I still haven't played with EQ7 - which my Hubby got for me on my birthday.  I am "chicken little" when it comes to computer stuff.  Still having "issues" with my embroidery machine that I have had for I think 2 years now.  I can do the designs that came on the machine but still having fits trying to get ones onto the "stick" to work.  :o(

Marge,

Wish I had the EQ7. I'm still on EQ5 but love it. Use it all the time when making quilts. If for nothing else, to double check my measurements and size of finished quilt. Go through the tutorials. You'll love it once you get the hang of it.

Marge(dimples). I just read your post that it was Oregon Pam who posted the entwined border I used iny quilt. I can't search for her post as we are on the road in our RV enroute to the Oregon Coast. My iPhone has lousy reception. Will wait until I have WiFi for my laptop

Oregon Pam, thank you for posting that border. It was perfect for my Fall charm swap quilt. I love this group and don't know what I'd do without all of you.

Its raining a bit now but should clear up by Tuesday. Oregon Coast is gorgeous no matter the weather.

Marge - I am with you  - I have EQ7 but haven't played at all with it - wish someone was close that would come and play with me and teach me - lol - I also have an embroidery machine that doesn't get used very much.  I did know how to use it before it broke that last time - now that it has been fixed by my wonderful Rob Appel - look up his wildlife quilt patterns - awesome - anyway - he fixed it and sent it back to me - I am almost afraid to touch it  - but have to shortly - new baby and have to do embroidery for the baby on burp clothes and onesies - and blankets... so shortly I will be getting it out again...

I have thought about taking that class that Barbara talked about on EQ7

can't remember where though - she'll remind me - think it is QU.
