Pam, your quilt is beautiful...I might have to try that one if I ever get these baby quilts finished and these pears canned.

Since I've had so much trouble getting on this site the last few days, I did manage to get the 2nd baby quilt pieced together and the borders on.  Now to get it loaded on the frame and quilted and then bound.  I probably won't get to do that for a few days though, as DH and I peeled several more bags of pears today and froze some and some are just soaking in lemon water.  I'd like to get them canned tomorrow, but it looks like we have to go to DSIL's to help her.  She's disabled and her children live over in Sacramento and get up here about as often as I make it to my dad's.  She lives on 10 acres and she really needs to down-size since she can't keep up with anything and we end up having to go and get all of the work done.  Needless to say our own work goes undone.

My first queen-sized quilt - almost too big to fit on my HQ 16 frame.  I made it to showcase the solid-oak bed DH built for us.  I'll make some matching throw pillows next.  A quilted wall hanging is nearly complete. ('bout time - started at VB in March)  This quilt is kitty-tested and approved!

Nancy, this is a gorgeous quilt and perfectly matches the beautiful bed frame. Even the kitty matches. Did you deliberately make a calico quilt for your calico kitty?

What are the dimensions of the quilt?

Judy, after shrinkage from its first washing/drying, the quilt now measures 88" wide x 108" long - allowing for a pillow tuck.

Nancy, congrats on finishing your first queen size quilt! YAY  Pickles sure looks like she's enjoying it.

My friend Sue & I look forward to going to Madison, too, & seeing you & Terri.  We've decided we won't bring our machines but she's got some knitting & I have two quilts in need to binding so I may bring one & get cracking on that.

Nancy - very pretty quilt and cat and congrats on your first queen size.

I am so excited - I put the last stitch of hand embroidery into the blocks for Snowman A-Z and have now squared up all the blocks and am ready to sew them via the machine together - then I will hand stitch over those seams with a decorative feather stitch - so much closer to getting to work on Sew Spooky...I want 2 Sew Spookys done by the middle of October - well 1 done and in the mail to MN and the one to stay here almost finished.
