!s,  that is the thing about surgery anymore, they do everything thru the laparoscope, but they don't warn you how sore you will be afterwards, mostly due to the gas that they pumped into you, which takes days to resolve.   Tell her this too shall pass.   Ginny

Today, I stayed home from work. Fever and cough.  I can't take meads and go to tori as I get verbal diarrhea and fall asleep anywhere I stop. My friends think its rather funny when I can tell coworkers and students exactly what I think at the moment.  Not always good!!!

If they can pump gas into you, why can't they suck it out like they do blood, etc?  I remember when my sister had her tubes ties , thru her bellybutton, she of the flat stomach looked pregnant for a couple months and was very sore and uncomfortable.

NanTenn

I love Hawaiian prints, always made my bikinis and muumuus from them.  Especially loved the Tahiian prints.  Those prices $3.99-5.99 were what I paid over 35 years ago, and that was top of the line quality.

One of my favorite fabrics stores was Hino's in Kaimuki...when I was there several years ago they were still in business, and also still carried the lovely fabrics beaded to make those awesome cheongsan (bad sp) dresses to fit.   I think they also had a store in Aiiea near Pearl Harbor.

I love the Hawaiian quilts, the appliqued ones in the traditional Hawaiian flora and fauna.  I would move back there in a heartbeat if I could afford to ship a couple of my horses and my dogs.

They claim that they do, but it goes into all the small nooks and vrannies and behind things so it isn't a reality to get it out and your body just slowly absorbs it, I guess.

I know my grandaughter is supposed to have her gallbladder removed whenshe has her baby by c-section, but she is afraid of all the pain afterward.  I hope she does get it done as it isn't good for her to have the gallblaadder upsets with her brittle diabetes.   Ginny

Angele:
A friend if mine did that glaciers one after their cruise.  It is an awesome quilt.

Yes, it seems like that would make a grand vacation memory quilt.  We'll see.  Maybe I can get some awesome photos.

My Gall Bladder was removed by Laproscope. Hardly any pain. The gas will get ya. But, the secret there is to walk as much as you can possibly can. Don't just lay or sit all the time..

Way to go, Kris. Good for you!

I love the Alaskan quilt kits. I went to the site. Their tablerunner kits are beautiful.  I love the precious, eskimo ladies kits. Theye are just so cute.

Hi, CC

Went to the dentist.. Crown, $900.00 Ouch. Guess that is just what 'cha pay. Oh, well. No fabric till that's paid off. Now that the lidociane is wearing off, it HURTS! My goodness. Better get me some warm water and salt.

Off to get a post card done. Need to go to the thrift store for more wool sweaters.
