How scary. It is always the other people that scare me when driving on slick roads.

Elaine, I'm so glad you're ok. Who passes cars when the roads are slick? God was with him as well.

Yesterday here very cold, this morning ive just woken up its 5.50am across the pond and its still very cold. Supposed to have snow sometime this week im giving it away free to a good home any takers.
I worked on my Applique wildflowers quilt half way through one of the blocks so if im good should finish that block today, did five more blocks for a cot quilt for a friend should do the last five today and i started my Hawaiian 12 days of Christmas quilt its Applique ive found all the bits to do the first five days so today i should be choosing and cutting the fabric on the 1st block so theres enough to keep me busy oh and i need to do the next BOM for January and to bake a cake.
Now why cant i have a five day weekend and a two day working week.
Elaine, i am so glad you are okay, some prats shouldnt be allowed to cross the road let alone drive.
lots of love

Very similar Marge. Ours lasts 11 days. Lots of different activities and shows. I'm trying to convince DH to be a masquerader.
Wendy :been playing in EQ7 all day this is what I came up with
Very pretty Wendy. I love the fabrics.

Frances, it's 10pm here and very, very cold, 6 degrees. My DH is in Florida this week, when I spoke to him on the phone he said it was "hot as heck here" about 80 degrees, I'm trying to not be too jealous as I sit here and keep stoking the wood stove. Nights like this are why my kids need multiple quilts!
Elaine Phillips:I was a recipe for disaster that God averted for us. Thank you, Lord.
Close call Elaine. Glad you made it out safely.
We're really cold here (and foggy) too Jacy. I can feel it in my bones. We're supposed to warm up then get really cold again.

Hi all! This is my first post!
Oh let's see, what am I up to? I have 3 projects going right now, 2 of which are going to Denmark in 10 days. One is just a teapot handle wrap to match a teapot cover and placemats I made for my boyfriend's mom for Christmas. The other is a 65" square play mat for my boyfriend's nephew who was born in October.
The 3rd project isn't quilt-related, but I'm making a tissue box holder with trash receptacle that will have straps on it to attach it to a walker. It's for a friend's mother in law, who is a very sweet woman. She's in assisted living, and my friend says once I give this to her, all her neighbors may want one too!
Wendy beautiful design . I love the fabric and colors you picked out. Barbara
EAT!! SLEEP !! QUILT!!
Nanteen I'm so glad you had a great time. Have a safe trip back. It is so nice to hear that Maddie had such a great time. Enjoy every last minute of your trip.
Welcome to the group DustyMomma! Hope we can see pictures of your projects soon.
Jacy:Frances, it's 10pm here and very, very cold, 6 degrees.
We were at 6 degrees last night at about the same time too, and only dropped to a low of 4 degrees this morning. (We were expecting lower temps!)
But, as most of you know who have seen my snow pictures, I live above the valley floor. Down in the valley, the cold settles in overnight in the wintertime! The official weather-station here is about a mile from Marge P's house and they recorded -6 degrees early this morning. Keep wrapped up Marge!!!
I am still down with this upper respiratory crud, so no skiing for me today in these cold temperatures! (More time for quilting...if I can drag myself down to my studio.)
