So my peaceful day is not going to happen. They called school off for a snow day. Actually it is not the snow, but the snow we had previously that melted and then froze solid. My hubby had to go to town for a meeting and he said it was a sheet of solid ice. DD just shipped the kids out the door to play and run off some of their energy, ahhhh quiet :)
Life is like a quilt...bits & pieces, joy & sorrow, stitched with love

Sorry that you are sick. It is so tough when you have a small child. Unfortunately you can't put them in the corner so you can rest. Fell better soon. Big hugs.

Oh Thea, I hear you about your aches and pains. That weather front is headed here now. I woke up this morning- well, if you want to call it waking up-hardly slept last night due to the pain. I swear today is even worse. Had to go have my yearly mammogram this AM. I hurt so bad I could hardly lift my leg up far enough to slide into the car. Every joint hurts except my elbows-what's with that? I had to get up and take 1/2 of a vicodin last night .. I think I am going to be soon taking the other 1/2 now. I can hardly even type- it just plain hurts. Arghh, and here I got the fabrcs to do the GGS-to be's quilt. Oh, I am going to just give up for a couple of hours and try to snooze. Ginny

Barbara,
I had all my bins scattered throughout every closet in the house. I felt like I went on a treasure hunt getting all my things together. Forced me to re-organize. I am back to work today but sadly coming down with what I suspect is the flu. Aches and pains, stuffy nose and tight chest. i am calling in sick tomorrow and resting!!!
See, Annie! We could have all come for a scavenger hunt at your place! I haven't done one of those in years. Hope you get to feeling better. Wouldn't it be nice to call in sick and actually not be sick? Just once?
Sheila,
I wish I wasn't sick and then I would play in my nice clean sewing room all day....
Maybe Saturday
Well I finished going through my "dump" box in the spare bedroom. Found all kinds of interesting things I forgot about. :o) I found the Amazing Desings embroidery pattern disc that came with my Madeira thread collection and the tutorial DVD for Digitizer Jr. Maybe now I will be able to figure out how to get embroidery designs from CDs and the internet to my machine. Is there hope for this "computer illiterate"???
Used my new Cuisinart Griddler today. So much easier to clean than the George Foreman grill!!! The Cuisinart was my early birthday gift from Hubby along with a new digital bath scale.
Got the "don't bug me" applique fused onto my bug quilt --- just need to sew on the raw edge so I can quilt it. Backing is on my shopping list for work tomorrow as well as some "flesh" colored fabric for an appliqued wall hanging I am going to make.
Weather is way to warm for Jan. Didn't even need a jacket to walk the dogs today. Weird! We need some cold weather to kill off some of the fleas and ticks.

Marge (AKA Dimples):Is there hope for this "computer illiterate"???
Absolutely, there is always hope :)
Diana Bink, will be praying for safe travels for you! Take care!
Brandy good luck with your weight loss. I've lost so many pounds so many times and gained it back plus some but even at my age I never give up the battle, maybe this time will be the last for me and I'll succeed in maintaining.
Good luck in your FPU class, you could do it.

Not fair, CC, moms are not supposed to get sick, they're the caregivers. Feel better soon. (((((HUGS)))))
