Kris,

Who is most excited about your visit home...you or your Mom?

Ten years is way too long to be away from home. I home the next few months just fly by.

Oh, my. What a beautiful place. It must have been so wonderful growing up there. Like life was a vacation. Except with all the regular routines of REAL life. Is the town large? Mostly touristy?  I know you will have such a beautiful homecoming from your family

Since the world is still turning and the days are getting longer (by seconds) I've ordered plants for spring planting.  My granddaughter who owns a floral and nursery here in town is a wonderful enabler.

Now to get off my hiney and do the winter household chores.  They just aren't any fun!

frances, what were you really going to say?

we jsut got back from our annual sleigh ride.   the horses were pretty frisky tonight, running up the hill.  the boys thought it was more than funny that they ditched the two little girls and got on the other sleigh with the aunties and uncles.   we had a great time in our sleigh without them.   i want to go back in time and be one of my daughters kids.   they are living the life.   they spent a half hour sledding before the sleigh ride,   a half hour ride through the snowy woods, a big dinner, then back out to play on the sleds.  they each got to invite one friend and then there were a few cousins scattered in the mix.

I wanna be one of her kids too!! Can I?? Pretty Please!??

Now why am i getting double posts on everything?? That's just weird...

Add my congradulations to those of the others Kris. I'm thrilled for you!!

The kids are busy making Sprout a Christmas stocking. They got very upset when they realized that he didn't have one yet. They're each making a crazy patch block with Christmas-y fabrics and then I'll assemble them into a sock. DD is so excited about the project that she's talking about making another one (In green orange and purple...??) for herself. LOL Good thing I am pretty well done with the seasonal sewing now.

I just got a pic of the quilt I was 'helping' my friend with last month, so I posted that in my gallery. Why not? I did more then my fair share of work on it!! LOL For that matter, so did a lot of other women. I think that the only real work my friend did on it was in manipulating the rest of us into making it for her. LOL  Well that's not exactly true - today she's layering it and tieing it all by herself. The rest of us are all too busy to assist her right now and she wants it done in time for Christmas. 'Wonder what she'll do when it comes to  putting the binding on. LOL  (MEe-OW!)

Dh has lit the fire int he shop and warmed it up so I can go play with my glass while everyone else uses my sewing maching. What a love!!  I'm off to see what bobbles I can make! Catchya later...

C.C., it happens to all of us at one time or another!  Double posting is a away of life on this site.

Sounds like the kids are settled in and having fun, so you can quietly escaspe for some quiet time of your own. Win Win.

Well, I have managed to finally get going on the jersey quilt. Sashed 2 more panels and trimmed the last 5. Just sashing to do on those before I lay them out, take pictures and send it to the expecting owner. Since I didn't get it done by the due date, I waived the second half of the fee. The materials are mostly covered, so it is a lesson learned.

First to make more sashing, but here is a picture of some of the blocks

Actually my father. My relationship with mom isn't great. We tolerate each other.
