Nana:
Glad you finally got some snow but please just keep it there.

Amen to that. If we get any, you can have all my snow.

10 hour day at work, then running to get DS from school, then running and grabbing some food for a friend who broke her foot (for their family's dinner), then had to feed DS and I and didn't get home until 9 p.m.

I'm beat.  I still have small group tomorrow night, a house to clean before they get here, and the quilt....Not to mention my own quilts to get done for my nieces....I hope they don't mind late gifts.  I just bit off way too much for my own good.  I'm learning a lesson, and it isn't very fun.

Off to sleep.  God bless and good night all.

Unfortunately, sometimes we have to learn those lessons the hard way. I hope you get a good nights rest and may God Bless you also.

I am bored, bored, bored.  This not being able to do anything is for the birds.  I am not suppose to set in one position for long...so sewing at the machine is still out...I can't spend long on the computer...I think I am definitely cabin fever...I have gotten alot of hand sewing done but I am getting tired of that.

Nana, this doesn't sound like fun at all.  Is the pain gone at least?  Do you undergo physical therapy?  I hope you can start moving again soon.

Nana, get yourself a stack of quilt magazines and a cup of tea or coffee and relax, you'll be back at that machine before you know it. (((HUGS)))

Nancy

I think that is part of the problem.  I honestly don't remember the last time I was totally pain free.   I feel better than I have in years and want to get up and take advantage of it....LOL>  I haven't needed PT.  I have pretty much full range of motion in the neck already and it is just 3 weeks.  The right side of my neck in the muscle is still a little tender and one small spot is still bruised but I bruise so easily that this doesn't surprise me.

Spud

I have tried the quilting mags and tea but they just make me want to get up and go thru the stash and start sewing...LOL>   I have finished the handwork on the Love Never Ends wallhanging that I got in Leavenworth.  I have also finished 6 out of 12 redwork blocks that I have been wanting to do.   So I am accomplishing something.  I am just having sewing machine withdrawals....LOL>

I totally understand, but you just behave and do as you are told, you will be thankful you did. Hang in there!

I don't feel that great now, and know tomorrow I am going to be so sore.  Used muscles I didn't know I still had.

Oh Patti, ouch. I hope your aches go away soon.

gini:
peter jackson has outdone himself on the hobbit.  it is even better than the first three books he made.

Gini,

I'm glad you liked it. DH wanted to see it this past weekend but it hasn't gotten great reviews. We decided to wait since opening weekend can be crazy for hyped up movies. I hate spending all that money for a movie I don't enjoy. Maybe next weekend we'll go see it.

We did see "Life of Pi" which was amazing. I don't know if you've read the book but it is amazing as well.

So sorry. Maybe bird watching (LOL) if there are any left. Do they fly south from there or are you southerly enough for them?

Diana Gabaldon has a new "novelette" for the "Outlander" series. Have you read it yet? It's not very long, you'll finish in one sitting. Makes me more anxious for the next book.

Not many great ideas coming from me huh? Again, so sorry.

We do have a few birds that stick around all year but most of them migrate.  I will have to check out the Gabaldan book.   I have been watching a really pretty woodpecker in the tree in our backyard...LOL
