Elaine, sorry for your loss, I lost the love of my life four years ago, Nov. 10, and I know how you feel.

I wish you happy thoughts on your birthday today, keep those memories alive.  (((((HUGS)))))

Elaine Phillips:
We had a great 43 years of marriage, and he died 5 years ago today.

Oh Elaine, I am so sorry! Loosing him on your birthday must have been a double whammy. You have my deepest sympathy.  I apologize for the poor timing of my question.  ((Hugs))

Happy Birthday Elaine and Ginny!  My, My!  We have Birthdays and Anniversaries gallore! What happy events!

DH lit a fire in the shop for me yesterday and DD took charge of her brothers for a few hours so I was able to get a little time with my torch. I made another thimble ( which came out ugly) and some Christmas theme beads  - Santa and Rudolf are OK, but the snowman cracked. I also found a tutorial for the cutest little charm kids, so I made one of those that looks sorta like DS1.  (http://www.loribeads.com/tutorials.htm if your interested. Check out her gallery! Great fun stuff and wonderful colors!) Of course mine isn't nearly as sweet as the one in the tutorial.  And just for fun I made a blue critter with lime green eyes that was supposed to be a puppy but ended up looking more rabbit like. (The kids loved that one) It took me most of the afternoon just to get my rythm, so I  mostly wasted a lot of glass. Hopefully today I'll get another hour in the shop and my zen will still be flowing...  Hey! One can dream!!

I've about  finished the blocks for my friends quilt...just in time to turn the project back to her so she can get it done before Christmas. LOL Lately I'm a lot more interested in getting back ot oneof my own UFO's then I am her quilt, so I'll be very glad to see it go out the door!

Hi Karla and Sukochi,

I have the same problem so I keep the door to my sewing room closed. If I'm not here and my husband is, he will let the dogs roam everywhere. The problem is that it doesn't keep my husband out. Sometimes he will go in there and take scissors our that are my good scissors. He ruins them a lot. I started making him buy me new scissors when he does that so he doesn't do it to much any more. He does us enough to make me keep the door closed though.

Happy Birthday to everyone. It is my niece's birthday also. I will be spending the day with her. Her and my sister live about 35 mile away but it takes almost an hour to get there as live in the mountains and it is a very windy way windy road.

I hope you all have a great Sunday.

Marie:

Thought that might get a comment or two. We were at a party, a very crowded party. Too loud to get a word in edge wise. So, he took my hand, led me into the bathroom, sat on the closed tiolet, pulled me down onto his lap, and said "Will you marry me?". I just laughed so hard!! I mean really? On the toilet??   and I looked him in the eye and said.........YES".
